I went a few years ago, was a fun time. I would hope from a humanity perspective they hold any announcements off until after the event and raise some nice money for Garden of Dreams. There is no game so they cant get injured, just don't let them go party afterwards.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. The last thing you want as an organization is your deep pocketed / generous fans feeling slighted because they paid ~$1,000 a ticket and some big named players aren't there to rub elbows and chat with.
