He hasn't. But, it's a little early to say that he will never get back to that level.

I agree, healing from major surgery is never easy. Jumping right back into premier NHL talent mode after surgery must be even harder.

Nash for Hartnell.
- Fenrir

Nash for Emelin, who then gets decked by Staal in a locker room fight, & having to retire due to a Lindros level head injury; along with Staal also having to retire, due to tearing all the fingers off his left hand during the fight.

As I am not one to hide my bias toward Miller, I'd like to point out that he is 4th on the team in PIMS with a mere 28 over 60 games. 8 of which have come in the last 5 games. Consider Nash, who is widely praised for his game has also played 60 game and has 24 minutes in penalties (2 less minors) you really have to wonder if this is just nitpicking, or being under the microscope in terms of PIMs.
Also Zucc has played one less game and has 30 PIMs, and Sjkei has played 60 and has 27 PIMs.
As far as boneheaded plays and turnovers, yes he is most certainly making them. but when you are constantly having your linemates shuffled and you cant develop any chemistry or know where people are going to be because your linemates are constantly changing, you will absolutely try to force plays and make mistakes, especially when you are on a line with Cody McLeod and Peter frigging Holland.

Say thanks (sarcastically) to A.V. for holding up the progression, and more with Miller and Vesey in key.

If you take Stepan and make him softer you get RNH. Not what this team needs. And I just don’t think he’s that good, esp not 6 million a year good.

boring topic but I wonder who's gunna be the backup next year. Pavlec had a solid like 3-4 week run then got hurt. they never really seemed yo trust him so id imagine someone else

Raanta would be the best option in being a free agent, should he not want to re-sign with Arizona. If the Coyotes decide to deal him by Monday, his price could be a little high, due to other teams' goalie injuries; although one team in the Flyers, just acquired Mrazek from the Wings.
But also as I wrote yesterday, whether or not a trade of McDonagh ending up in Toronto occurs, they are either at or just shy of the maximum contract count limit of 50. They have in their minors, former Avalanche goalie, Calvin Pickard, who played well for them prior to this season when they were horrible. Pickard is very mobile and agile, and like Raanta, would insure them that Hank would be able to have at least 25 games of rest, as was the case about last season when Raanta was here.

Mac is the key piece to deal in this rebuild and there isn’t a chance in hell Gortan would trade that for an underachieving 20 something making 6 mill🙄. Defeats the whole purpose of rebuilding

the Rangers need McDonagh a lot more than they need Ryan Nugent-Hopkins

has anyone actually seen this defense since he's been out?

Mike Green is not playing tonight for DET. Not sure yet if it's injury related or trade related. WSH very interested in acquiring him.

oh I've seen some bad ones

the issue always is that people have an ego over their dumb trade proposals

nobody should ever have an ego of a crazy trade they think up ever
