That's great the hockeybuzzers complain about him...it has no bearing how the team feels about him.
Manning is in the top 6 on defense right now. Going into the playoffs I am not sure i want to add a rookie in Sanheim into the mix unless he comes up soon and gets more games in.
I know your not just subtracting but it has to be the right add. - J35Bacher
It’s not just hockeybuzz. It’s any medium that covers the Flyers from The Athletic to BSH podcasts. Manning is statistically our worst defenseman, commits the most errors out of any d man, has the worst +/- amongst d man, etc. I guess the day to defend Manning has come to Hockeybuzz

Makes sense. He played well against the Rags and it gives Mrazek the benefit of having a practice with the team and a chance to get to know his new Dmen a bit before starting a game. - BiggE
Let him watch how the team plays tonight, practice with them tomorrow and then go against Bob on Thursday. |

If we're using +- as our beacon sanheim was by far the worst and manning is only 1 worse than gudas. |

solid move. Unless he poops the bed no reason not to resign him to a 2 year deal. Then trade/buyout glassman. buy out would be very low I think. |

I have a question that I know I'm absolutely going to be roasted for but here I go.
In my opinion, accepting this trade was a no brainer the first time it was offered. Mrazek is younger than both Elliot and Neuvirth. There is still a ceiling to reach with him. So is Hextall a genius for making this deal, should Mrazek play lights out or is it dumb luck because our goalies got hurt and he didn't accept it when he should have? - SuperSchennBros
It's neither.
He made a virtually zero-risk move necessitated by injury. Without injuries, there was no need to make a move. |

I’m just using any stat to prove statistically Manning is our worst d man, bc it’s a fact, and it’s an area we can improve for the playoffs. Yes Gudas is 1 better but has played 10 less (at least) games with suspension. Sanheim is a rookie and I’d say has better puck movement / offensive skills than Manning. |

They've played the same amount of games cause of manning being scratched for sanheim. If we're arguing if sanheim is a better player he unequivocally is. If we're asking if he's the better fit for what they ask of manning he isnt. |

All true. I just have a feeling Sanheim gets manhandled in the playoffs. He needs to add some raw strength to his frame in order to make the next step.

No. We're on a playoff run in not selling off players for average picks. Manning is asked to play the pk and a defensive first game. Wisniewski isn't going to fill that role any better. We have plenty of picks. If we change that position it needs to be an upgrade or an internal call up - Tfaehner
I wouldn't touch Wisniewski has barely had any even strength shifts in the Olympic tournament so far if any. His skating won't allow him to be effective at the NHL level only thing he would upgrade is PP2, I'd rather have Manning and that says a lot lol. Ideally Flyers could call up Sanheim and upgrade from within, no need to trade any assets in that scenario and Sanheim is too good for the minors anyway |

Exactly. I don't get it we are selling off people who are a part of a winning lineup. I get they aren't rock stars but we aren't mortgaging the future for a cup run. Guys like wisniewski aren't in the Nhl for a reason |

It is but considering its the stretch drive to the playoffs I think we see Simmonds back in 2 weeks which isn't all that bad. And it allows Lindblom to secure a spot on the team as long as he plays well. |

If he can get healthy and put together a few good games in a row, I’d bring up Morin and put him in the lineup over Manning.
No one is gonna manhandle the big guy and at the very least he should improve the PK and provide a physical element that no other Dman on this team can come close to providing. |

I would love it but I don't see it. He needs to get healthy. I also don't think even if he was recalled that hak would play him over manning |

Might be shoulder/chest muscle after rewatching fight. He kind winced after they were separated and touches that area. |
