they can trade that contract, somehow or someway.

I would tell Weise, you better out there and play like you did last game, drop the gloves hit everything that moves.

They expected grit from Weise instead they got grout.

I see it being easier to get Gudas gone than Weise

Well I can't because I don't know what all of the clauses are for the bonuses. But based on both seasons totals as well as recent totals, one with access to those clauses could make an educated guess at which ones are likely attainable or not.

I don't know why you feel that you couldn't make an educated guess with all of your superior hockey knowledge, but I think that's within my realm of intelligence to do.

- jmatchett383

All we can look and see is what the maximum bonuses a player can earn in his contract. We don't know exactly what the parameters are for meeting those bonuses or if the player will. That's individually negotiated.

I'm glad you finally realized that I have superior hockey knowledge.

While I hate losing Simmonds, replacing him with Patrick on the #1 PP would give the PP a different look, as I think Patrick is a much better passer. Obviously they lose Simmonds net front ability, but it may equal out.

I think Lindblom gets PP#2 time, hopefully.

- Marc D

Hopefully.

He's the only prospect to be a fixture on PP1 for the Phantoms this season.

So true but only if you trade him to a non playoff or out of conference team and have an upgrade

Yes but, for better or worse, Gudas is a far more critical part of this team.

So you don't think that you can make an educated guess if Patrick will meet the following performance bonuses criteria:

goals 20
assists 35
points 60
.73 points per game (42 minimum games played)
among top 3 forwards on club in plus minus

Using my vast intellect, given both his recent and season-long production, I can say fairly confidently that he won't hit on any of those numbers, MAYBE goals if he goes on a tear.

It's sad that with all of your superior hockey knowledge that you're unable to make an educated guess based on 75% of a season's worth of data. But it's about what I expected since you refuse to deal in hypotheticals or projections.

If we get someone else LTIR will come into play instead of IR.

It would have to be a lot of someone else. They still have 7M to burn pro-rated.

Bummed about the Simmonds injury but also not going to pretend that he was playing 100% before he got hurt anyway.

I was thinking more about individual schedule B bonuses but he isn't likely to hit any of those either.

I think it's sad that you have this chip on your shoulder and want to make this into a fight instead of a simple adult conversation on bonuses a player may be likely to hit.

I didn't list all of them but most are unlikely for Patrick to meet. I can put them all down later when I'm off work.

Dude, I asked if you could make an educated guess about him hitting his performance bonuses and you said that you were unable to at this point., Given how much you swing your Richard around on here acting like you're the only one who can correctly interpret the game of hockey correctly, I found that quite curious.

As for chips on shoulders and internet fights, I guess I'll just act like a snide know-it-all bumhole and make snarky comments instead much like you seem unable to avoid doing. You go around antagonizing people and then cry foul when someone calls you out on your poop. You're such a (frank)ing disease, I really do hope you act like a more respectful human being to people in real life than you do on here.

Sadly, I won't be able to check, I'm about to leave work and go relieve my wife. First solo day taking care of both my daughter and my 7-day-old son.

FA signings have never been a strong suit of the Flyers. Who was the last FA signing that came from another organization who lived up to expectations? Danny B?

Some kind of fungal growth that won't go away no matter how many times it's been banned, I mean, treated.

You know, I've never ever in my life wanted to punch someone based on the internet, but if I ever met you in real life, you may get the privilege. I really really despise you simply based on how you treat people on here.

I'm not enjoying the lack of sleep, but it's definitely fun. We decided to stop at #2, I'm getting the surgery, so this is the last of the kid times.

Yeah, I decided to delete the post. I don't need him crying wolf to the mods again.

I ignored him for 3 months, then decided I'd give him another chance and converse with him. I need to learn my lesson better this time.
