From ESPN:
Philadelphia Flyers
Bold prediction: The Flyers go all-in and trade for a scorer and defenseman
Why it could happen: Philadelphia has caught fire lately and moved up to third place in the Metro. As a team with superstar talent up front and two quality young defensemen, the Flyers could be a serious contender with the addition of a scorer like Patrick Maroon, and either Johnny Oduya or Nick Holden on defense. The Flyers' extra first-round draft pick in 2018 gives them an opportunity to shoot high without completely sacrificing the future.
This may have already been posted, but I really wanted to share. Hopefully that extra first can get us Patrick Maroon back - The_Universe

ESPN ranks slighly below TMZ, Buzzfeed and the crack head down the street from my office when it comes to hockey news and insight.

Wisniewski isn't playing regualary for the US i believe. i think he is a PP specialist for them.
And your not moving manning if your looking to add depth for the playoffs. If anything you bring up Sanheim ro you bring in someone who might be better and Manning moves to a 7th dman. Could you do something like Leier for Oduya? - J35Bacher
During Sunday's game after Couts was kicked in his "core muscle" I found myself having a debate (with myself) on possible implications to the team if he was indeed sidelined for awhile before seeing the full extent of what happened. Would the Flyers simply shift G back to center or would there of been a call up for a center. Being 1C I figured G back to center, thoughts?

I'm guessing G would go back to center, lets just hope we don't have to find out.
I just think for a playoff run if your looking at adding depth he fits. Might not cost much and he has playoff experience and could be a slight upgrade to Manning. If anything you add experienced defensive depth for the playoffs.
Its nice to see Lindblom get the call up.The pressure shouldnt be on him to ease missing SimmondsThat pressure should fall on Weal.He needs to be the one to step up and provide those goals. He is on the 2nd line now so no excuses.
Yes they do. However, now that almost 3/4 of the season has elapsed, you can start making some very educated guesses about which of those bonuses will be met.
Either way, glad they have the extra room. - jmatchett383

Apparently, James Tanner loves the Mrazek deal for the Flyers. I suppose you can take that one of two ways: 1) Even a stopped clock is right twice a day. 2) The Flyers are (frank)ing d00med!

It's worse that none of the people who write here hated the deal for the Flyers.
Well I can't because I don't know what all of the clauses are for the bonuses. But based on both seasons totals as well as recent totals, one with access to those clauses could make an educated guess at which ones are likely attainable or not.
I don't know why you feel that you couldn't make an educated guess with all of your superior hockey knowledge, but I think that's within my realm of intelligence to do.

Kid says all he can do is play his game and not try to be someone else.

James Tanner doesn't believe in goalies, he refers to them as "luck."
