Like the deal, looking forward to seeing what Mrazek can do. Not concerned a bit with the “attitude” issues, kid was 24 and got a little cocky, stuff happens. From all I’ve been able to find, he’s had no issues re attitude at all this season.
The Flyers landed a 26 year old, very talented goaltender playing for a new deal and out to prove that he can be a top notch #1. In fact, the more I think about the deal, the happier I am with it. - BiggE
i actually like he was cocky, learn and grow but you know he has that edge that you need is professional sports
From ESPN:
Philadelphia Flyers
Bold prediction: The Flyers go all-in and trade for a scorer and defenseman
Why it could happen: Philadelphia has caught fire lately and moved up to third place in the Metro. As a team with superstar talent up front and two quality young defensemen, the Flyers could be a serious contender with the addition of a scorer like Patrick Maroon, and either Johnny Oduya or Nick Holden on defense. The Flyers' extra first-round draft pick in 2018 gives them an opportunity to shoot high without completely sacrificing the future.
This may have already been posted, but I really wanted to share. Hopefully that extra first can get us Patrick Maroon back
Well I'm just saying, if Giroux's driving to the arena and a house falls on his car and kills him, or turns him into some deformed monster of some sort, we're pretty screwed (unless that deformed monster comes with hockey-related superpowers). Wouldn't you agree?

Yeah I see the same and am guessing 3 years. If Hart seizes the reins in year 2, Mrazek could always be dealt prior to the final year or just kept as a good backup/insurance policy since cap wise, Hart will still be on his ELC. - BiggE
if he plays well, I think they try and sign him for 2-3 deal, anything longer they pass. Nuevy will get traded at the draft for a Handy Manny builder set. I do think if MRazek plays well, they will try to trade elliot. Then go with Stollie or Lyon, knowing Hart is in the wings. I think we all forgot but losing Stollie at the beginning of the year did hurt. He gave them a few quality starts last year in the show.

I'm calling up Vegas right now and putting my life savings on the Flyers getting Holden from the Rangers.

I expect the Flyers to make the playoffs so I think the condition for a 3rd this year will be met. - MJL
I agree and a 3rd in this draft is a solid pick up for the wings

Speaking of that first...would you deal it to NYR if to got you McDonagh straight-up?

No, not worth it for a rental of a guy who seems to be slowly starting to fade.
edit: didn't realize that he had a year left at 4.7 million after this season. Still not willing to move a first for him, especially since both our 1st and the St. Louis pick could end up as mid round 15-20 picks. The way the Flyers have drafted in the first in recent years, makes me pretty unwilling to part with either one.
He has 1 more year at $4.5M. I agree though, his game has started to slip. It's the only veteran name on that team I's even consider a first for. - jmatchett383
