Performance bonuses and the bonus cushion. - MJL
Interesting and possible
Performance bonuses could be up to $3,925,000 but Patrick's schedule b bonuses account for $1.8m of that (and he's probably not going to hit any of those)
Most likely the bonuses are 2.125m, makes sense for Hextall to have them retain salary on Mrazek

Provorov, Konecny, and Patrick all have the potential of earning performance bonuses.

Yes they do. However, now that almost 3/4 of the season has elapsed, you can start making some very educated guesses about which of those bonuses will be met.
Well how do you think the second phone call went if Hextall didn't dial the numbers? Did nobody get hurt? Well...Elliot and Neuvirth got hurt, I suppose it depends on how you look at it. I like the deal. I'm glad it was on the table again two days later. I just wish I had more confidence in Hextall to accept a no brainer the first time it was offered. - SuperSchennBros
One thing to remember is that the first offer was just a RUMOR. Can it be confirmed that Detroit wanted a 3rd and the deal was done?
No one from the Ivory Tower on Broad Street will let it be known. - dragonoffrost
In their defense, Hextall has let it be known that any security leaks will either be punished by death or by having to watch an endless reel of Chris Vandevelde highlight tapes.
Depends. No one expected Ghost to stick with 53 (14 was taken) but after his success, he kept it.
So to answer your question, maybe. - jmatchett383
He was 96 on his Swede team? I recall reading something at the start of the season saying he would likely switch numbers if he cracked the NHL. 54 just doesn't look right.

A 96 on the back of a jersey would look pretty sweet. Of course some idiot would have to joke about you having the numbers backward.
