Unless you're suggesting that he should have all of the potential picks and trades tested for character and personality fit, I'm not sure how he is accountable for the lack of effort and defeatism every other game from this team.

Hey listen if you want to launch a HOF coach fine - time to change the message I get it, but that still doesn't excuse what Stan has done over the last several seasons. But let's just focus on this year.

Based on Crawford's track record the last two seasons wouldn't you want to get a solid backup NHL goalie...instead we get a guy that's played a handful of NHL games and a 32 year old rookie...and what exactly did Bowman get when he handed Raanta to the Rangers...?

Or how bout the fact you still owe Montreal your 2nd round pick in this upcoming draft for a dumpster fire deal that gave away a really promising young center in Danault for hot garbage when you knew you needed a 4D.

Or how bout trading one of your best playmakers in Panarin for Saad and what Stan hoped would be his backup goalie. Panarin leads the Jackets in points. Or trading your best defensive defenseman for a 3rd pairing guy. Hammer is still averaging 2.5 blocks per game. And you wonder why Q stormed out of that meeting in July when he heard about the trade.

Both of those moves were made for cost control not necessarily for the betterment of the team this season. But still Stan made change for the sake of change after his big speech. One Goal...sure...

I'm wondering how bad the sting will be when Phoenix trades Hammer for a 1st and prospect...how good will Stan look at that point...?
