I did back when the team was actually good and had scrubs like Oreskovich/Glass/Sestito on it.

Doing it when the team doesn’t even have a top 6 F, Top 4 D and legit starting goalie is hilariously stupid.

It’s like renovating a house and focusing on sweeping the dirty floors before touching the walls.

Don't you know that if we have a great 4th line it'll mean that we're a cup contender.

I can't change the mind of the posters that think Kane is hurting Buffalo , Domi is the reason why Coyotes suck , or a player of Tkachuk would be bad for a team.

Kinda like I can’t change the mind of posters that the Sedins are hurting the team, Sedins are the reason Canucks suck....

I find this notion funny. The team still finishes bottom 5 with them, and I think they are a big part of the reason only 1 player from the past 3 drafts has made their NHL debut.

Without them, I think the team does something stupid like trade or signs veterans and/or rushed some of these prospects into the lineup too early. Some may disagree and think they have a greater impact, but IMO they are placeholders and everyone, including the players, knows it

I say it more as the whole spending futures to keep the twins competitive. Baerschi wasn't a bad trade, but a prospect and an older UFA signing could have us with a better future. Little things like that, I like to see us win, but we would be a lot closer to being able to compete if we got value add UFA place holders and kept the picks. Vey OFC was a huge disapointment. If we get Domi, we should trade Baerschi IMO. If we can get a big haul for Tanev, I would say sign Guddy for 3 years even if it costs us 4.5 as he and Edler(so far) look like they could eat big minutes to allow kids like OJ to develop. If tanev doesn't land us a huge haul(talking Foote + 1st big), trade Guddy because Edler and Tanev could each anchor a pairing while young kids develop.

No they really suck. They are just lucky to be playing a team that sucks more tonight. Their shot making is around 60% on big shots

Ah gotcha, I dont disagree with that but I do think the narrative stuck longer than they intended. There was essentially scorched earth behind the twins but I would have also preferred some UFA signings rather than making most of those deals.

Aside from Gudbranson I really think they need to move Tanev by the draft, since Edler wont waive. Need to sell high where possible

Japan at 4-1 and Canada at 2-3. Can up 6-1 after 5 ends. If Cdn is sucking and can put it together it will be easy.

sorry bud. I am sort of in the pom pom'rs club. I've like what JB has done mostly. It helps he keeps picking a lot of the prospects I want in the draft.

Agreed, Some say Tanev and Guddy, but other than Edler we don't have anyone that can anchor a pairing. Guddy can't either, but he and Edler could handle teams top lines while developing Dmen get easier assignments. Guddy will cost 4.5+ though so we would need to give more cash for shorter term. We are in a good position with our cap for a few years, so an overpayment for Guddy won't kill us Capwise. Again though, Tanev has more value than a single 1st and should only be traded for a 1st + top prospect. The prospect should also be a right handed shot. 20 or younger.

That's because Henrik doesn't shot, he just tries to guide it into the net. WHAT!

What about this homegrown guy in the later rounds? Same size and on same pace as Alex Kerfoot. Kerfoot was a 5th rounder to NJ.

Going to University of Denver. Always a good program.

if you really want or need him back, do it when he's a UFA in 2 years. Barring some incredible luck thats when I see another D prospect not named Juolevi join the team anyways

I dont watch many prospects but I'd wager our 2018 pick or Brisebois. Pending trades, I just dont seem room for full time spots before then (I also dont really consider Holm a prospect given his age and experience)

I like the completely forgotten about Even McEneny. He was going to be the next depth guy for Van. Since he was inured. No one talks about him. He had a better scoring rate then Holm did.
