If Gudbranson is worth 4 AAV, what does this setup for Stecher in negotiations for his next contract? - Codes1087
Probably somewhere between Gudbranson and Hutton |

People seriously overrate how much stock some GM's put into analytics. That LeBrun tweet about a playoff GM saying he'd do that deal in a heartbeat says a lot.
Hell, Yzerman, who's apparently one of the more forward thinking GM's in the league, targeted and signed Ryan Callahan, a guy the advanced stats community thought was overrated back when he was actually decent.
And then went out and signed Dan Girardi, a guy who was mocked by the analytics crowd as a guy who shouldn't even be in the league but has turned out to be decent for them as a depth dman.
Every GM stills listens to his pro scouts, and I'm betting that most pro scouts laugh at corsi. - Nucker101
Yeah. It means an NHL still employs Chiarelli, Snow and Bergevin.
You're right though. It doesn't really matter. He's signed and that's all there is to it. He's an absolute terrible player, there's no arguing about that. He doesn't help a team in any way. However, the NFL is full of bad contacts and guy's making more than they should |

A very strong case could be made for Polak being the worst D-man in the league. - classic321
We have three guys that are worse. |

Travis Green on Gudbranson signing, "Good signing, he's only 26 years old and we have not seen the best of him yet
Nhl coach vs arm chair gm's🤗 - manvanfan
His original quote was "I made $13m as a player in my career and I cant believe this guy will get that over 3 years, what a joke" but you know how public relations are. Gotta spin |

to be fair, with no clauses in the contract, it's actually a pretty easy contract to trade for decent return.
if they can re-hab his game, it's great value.
...still would have traded him though! |

It doesn't matter what it is now, it matters what it is during the 2020/2021 season, I don't think Jim plans to trade him anytime soon. He likely views him as the Sutter of the dcore. "leader of the next wave" type of thing.

Excuse my ignorance but how do you get the smoke into those things? - LeftCoaster
Inhale. First draw slowly fills the pipe through the cooling water, then you remove the bowl/carb and your second draw is a much faster flow clearing the entire chamber.
That thing looks like it has a huge concentrate bowl/nail in it. If so, every cubic inch of that smoke is several times stronger than a bud and would give a normal guy a near heart attack.
I'm a med patient now. I've only tried shatter once and not a fan of how it's made(butane) but I love my Rosin! |
