A good general manager will be a seller at the trade deadline every year, no matter where the team sits in the standings. This is because, a good general manager is shrewd on the draft floor and is constantly promoting players from within the organization to take the place of those on expiring contracts. It takes time and patience to get there, but it’s the only way I can see a team being successful long term.

Lucic may actually be better on Van. Doesn't need to play with so much speed to keep up. Not tasked with being defensive forward.

He's an overrated, overpaid POS. I prefer Louie.

He was a good value pick and did well in the Q. Was hoping to see him in Utica.

I'd rather have Tanner Pearson myself. Younger and somewhat reasonable term left.

I'd rather draft.

I'm unsure what to think of him. He's 20 soon to be 21 and playing mostly in the MHL the junior league in russia. 15 KHL games with only 1 point. Contract in russia till 18/19. I'd rather him come over to Utica next season. It's a smaller jump then going MHL to KHL.

Proud to say I have not watched one minute of the Olympics. Handing out medals for anything now...it's a joke. But I have heard some of the Curling girls are hot...lol

Yep, he was always a long shot but has good two way game and plays C.
Benning called him a Datsyuk.. but I was thinking more like Chubarov.

Reading Bob Murray’s comments on the high prices, how can a successful team not have what “Patrick Eaves” supplies somewhere in their system?
