The Flyers are one of the top 5 teams in the league defensively at 5 on 5. It's the PK where the Flyers biggest issue is. I wasn't meaning to criticize the Rangers as much as I was the idea that some Flyers defenseman suck.
- MJL

The rangers d deserve criticism their terrible but like I said before pionk Gilmour and deangelo have looked pretty good for a small sample size. I wasn’t saying the flyer defense was terrible just that they had a rough time today and I would hope it was just an off game. Team defense has to be better in the playoffs no matter who you have in goal

Going buy the trouble the flyers have had in goal trashing hank might be the last thing you want to do.
- Bobd62

Actually, I said nice poop about Hank in the last thread. I mean, I had to shower afterwards, but I'm not stupid. I know the mother(frank)er is good.

I felt bad that he was being hung out to dry by a terrible team and was getting poop on by Rangers fans doing the sarcastic cheer thing when he made a save.

This Rangers team is garbage. It ain't the goaltenders fault.

Takes one to know one troll!
- Bobd62

No, I don’t regularly go into other teams threads and make an ass out of myself. I leave that up to attention starved, living in a basement, wondering what kissing a girl would be like, trolls like yourself.

I feel pity for you, I truly do.

Have fun drafting Quinn Hughes, adding into the small d-core you already have. Rangers gonna dress the softest team in the league?

The last 10 seasons the Flyers missed the playoffs 3 times and went to the Stanley cup finals once. Why’s he keep talking about 10 years like they haven’t been in the playoffs for a decade?

For whatever reason the game today was just real loose for both teams. Not much structure or layers to the checking and a lot of free skates into the offensive zone. Flyers lost coverage a couple of times around the net. Flyers are normally much tighter defensively at 5 on 5. The PK however, has been a train wreck. They may have discovered the secret to fixing that though the last two games. Don't take any penalties.

Rangers also didn’t make the playoffs one of those years. So because we missed 3 times we’ve been tanking for picks.

Why would you need all that cap space? Maybe because your scouts suck and you have to buy players? Please enlighten all of us non New Yorker slobs by rattling off all the great home grown talent the rangers have.
Lunquist, wow great track record for this current ranger team.
Keep electing commie mayors and drafting poopty and telling us how great paying a zillion dollars in taxes is and pretending your poop don’t stink.
The best part of New York is the 1000 islands, finger lakes and you guys work hard to screw that’s up

- bird_dog_pa

We’re on the same side dude. I was just pointing out that the rangers will have more cap room in their build, which may lead to mor bad decisions

Well that’s what gets me going and not just here it’s funny pens fans were trashing fleury when he was there but without him they might not have one 1cup let alone 2 I bet they wish they had him now! Listen hanks a whiner acts dumb sometimes and does some dumb stuff but he is a guy I’d want on my team. He gets paid big money so I can’t really feel sorry for him now that the team sucks but I do feel bad that he hasn’t won a cup because he’s done everything one person in a team sport can do imho

The team has been held together by spit and glue for a few years now. Shattenkirk deal was amusing, kind of like the flyers signing Vinny....that’s where their at

I've felt this has been true for awhile.

If Lundquist had the support around him that Brodeur had in Jersey, he might actually have a cup.

If he’s still playing at like 42 maybe they can re-sign him when their rebuild is over. Might get a cup then.

Just out of curiosity when do you think the flyers will make the finals and have a chance to win a cup?

Hard to imagine they have a legitimate chance until the goalie gets figured out. Which it’s all eyes on carter hart. He is our savior. The numbers he’s putting up in the Whl are historic. Remains to be seen

Hextall needs to get Ken Holland back on the phone and make that deal.
