I dont see any issue with that.
No one is given or owed anything.. - opeth_pa
I'm excited to see him, but I can't see either of the top 9 dropping. Switched around sure.
But who knows? Maybe someone wanted a Raffl or Wealthy to fill spots? |

Could be anyone in the bottom six really. If ARI made Raanta available for Laughton I'd probably consider it. - hereticpride
Man, I wouldn't make that trade. Laughton is starting to find his role. Wouldn't flip a young forward for a playoff rental. |

I gotta think Lindblom is 4th line. I mean he's probably suitable to be played higher but I would think Hakstol wants him to earn his TOI. - Pelle31Forever
I can't see that. I have to think it's a top 9 role.
Kind of the reason I think a depth forward is being moved for a goalie. |

My thought there is that if they were willing to play Lindblom in limited minutes on the 4th line he could've been up with the team sooner. |

Agreed.
I think Raffl, Weal, Laughton types make sense. |

My money is on Weal getting traded. Raffl would be too big of a loss. |

I think Weal is more expendable then Laughton at this point and I would still would be very resistant unless the goalie is staying past this season. |

The way I see it then..
UNTOUCHABLE RIGHT NOW (off season changes this list)
G, Jake, Coots, Tk, Patrick, Simmonds.
Any other forward could be moved to get a goalie and as such making room for OL? |

Agree he's top 9 bound but I wonder if there is an injury to a forward we don't know of |

That makes no sense with the Flyers moving up the playoff rankings. - opeth_pa
That's an important aspect i mentioned earlier. We're winning and I expect hexy doesn't want to make massive changes to mess with chemistry. |

Also I don't think non-playoff teams are going to see a ton of value in Raffl. Weal at least has some top 6 upside still. Raffl is kind of just a run of the mill 3rd line grinding winger with less than average hands around the net. |

Not arguing but do you find it odd that NOW, 23 games left he's being brought up to play a significant role?
I will say he could definitely help out the PP2. |

It's weird as hell, especially with the team doing well. I'd say it's a move. Neuvy out a while and they can't just go with Lyon. |

But they can't hide Lyon either. Some back to backs left and no matter who they pick up, they aren't going 20+ straight games. |

I think they have to trade a player if they want a goalie, they're at the 23 max roster. |

Yeah. I'm ok with that. We need Lyon and the last game gives me hope he's getting his legs. |

Trading Weal would be a mistake. Despite the season he is having. |

Possibly. I’m ok w trading Raffl, as his game is very average. I like Weal’s speed and creativity. He seems to be playing better over the last two months.
Guess “weal” see soon enough! |

He’s a 4th line player and Leier would just slide back in to that role if that was it. |

They're going to have to play him a few times, no doubt about it.( I mean unless Stolarz lights up the AHL asap)
They just can't move forward with him being the number 1 during that period. |
