Groin could be 2-4 weeks or the worst case scenario operation but we all know neuvy will be hurt again if he get healthy again

it depends on your definition of pressing. it probably would have been smart because the odds of neuvirth getting injured were high. hextall hedged and lost. his cost just got higher. i don't think the cost between now and the TDL will go up. it is what it is. he has a week. he will make a deal. i'm just not sure what he wants. i don't think anybody does.

that said, at least it happened now, and not after the deadline because then we're stuck with whatever's in the system.

i'd be thrilled with raanta or dell.

- hammarby31

For all we know, Hextall was making calls the minute after Elliot got hurt. But between then and the Neuvirth injury the need wasn't as great/urgent as it is now. That was my point.

Great hair on that guy. Over the past 10 years I would of taken him. But today I wouldn't trade hart for him even if it was straight up

Career stat wise has been pretty good especially considering he has been on some real garbage teams, The problem is he hasn't started 30 games since 11. He is in a tandem with Elliott who has played 50 games once in his career. It is really thin at the top of the organization with goalies. Stollie missing the season hasn't helped as an alternative. Read some Bill tweets he would be surprised if something doesn't get done by the Columbus game

I’d be surprised if they traded Gudas or amac ahead of camp. Manning won’t be back. But Hextall is going to make the kids earn it.

I’ve been a big fan of Myers, but he can’t seem to stay healthy and he can be better in his own end.

Sanheim needs to work on the little nuances of the game.

Morin’s season seems like it’s a total loss

I'm not so sure that Manning won't be back, we'll see.

If they make a deal for a Mzarek, Raanta type. It will most likely be the end of Neuvy with Flyers

I remember going to the first day of training camp the year they got Neuvy. Some grown man was out front waiting for an autograph in a brand new Neuvirth Flyers jersey.

I wish I had that kind of money to just throw away.

Haha. Nothing wrong with that! I actually don't mind neuvy, except for him not being able to stay healthy. If he could, he's got some decent ability.

I used to be that guy who wanted the obscure flyers jersey... Well now I have a closet full of ridiculous flyers jerseys I'll never wear again like Scottie Upshall, Shjon Podein, Joffrey Lupul, and Dave Babych just to name a few. God, was I that young and stupid

Either way, I'd think it's time to cut bait with Neuvy if it's possible to move that contract reasonably.

I like him, I like what he's done for us when healthy. He's capable of stealing a few games when he's on, but that's not often enough. And unfortunately, he can't seem to stay in the lineup.

I only have a few jerseys and I feel like buying more than two is a total waste tbh. Thankfully I only ever paid full price for one. 2010 SCF Giroux jersey. Everything else I got super cheap on eBay.

I would totally wear those jerseys.

One of the Flyers games I went to this year, I saw a woman rockin' a #41 Meszaros jersey.

Speaking of obscure jerseys, I wish I still had my #14 Sutter jersey with the C on it.

I dont disagree with you, but who is going to take him for the very reason you stated. His deals reasonable in terms of length and money but I dont see anyone taking him on due to injury concerns

He'd be fine if we had a legit workhorse number 1 and only had to spot start here and there but that's just not the case.

Pretty true unfortunately. I would just waive him next year. I'd be shocked it see a team claim him.

I was never one for buying jerseys when I was younger, but if I did, it would've been Dave Snuggerud.
