Bozak - Move Marleau to center for the rest of the season, then find a permanent replacement in the summer.

JVR - Likely response is to move Komarov back into the top nine with Kadri and Marner, Kapanen with Marleau and Brown and Martin or Leivo gets back in on the fourth line.

Usually I don't not disagree with you....triple negative intended....but your suggestions above are kinda bunk!!!

If all of them go, I would expect this line up:

Marleau, Matthews, Nylander
Johnson, Kadri, Marner
Kapanen, Bozak, Brown
Hyman, Komarov, Rychel

Rielly, Hainsey
Gardiner, Hjamsjams (or similar)
Dermott, Zaitsev
Polak


They should only trade JVR for a top 4 D or a good D prospect. Kapanen or Johnson could replace most of his goals and get rid of more of his minuses.

Bozak won't get enough in return so keep him for a decent price and put Kap on his wing...Kap hustles way more than JVR. Brown and Kap with Bozie F/O skills would make that line less of a defensive liability and shouldn't be too much offensive fall off.

Komarov, sucks this year and isn't getting better so....he is the new 4th line center and could be re-signed at a decent deal IMO. Surround him with better wingers with a little grit.


Plus, you ALL know that there is time to sign them before they are UFAs and after the playoffs right??? Everybody keeps posting as though we have until the TDL or we lose them. They can still be signed or traded before July 1.

Regardless of what happens, don't remember this team being this deep for a long, long time. It would be MHO that if we trade any of the UFAs it's for D, D Prospects or Picks for drafting D. Then we would be in really good shape on O and D. Next year do forwards at the draft, if not BPA, rinse, wash, repeat.
