It's just such a fantastic moment for our nation.

Think of the millions of kids who watched, who will now be inspired to be bobsledders.

Of course, they will need access to one of the only two bobsled tracks in Canada, and raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to buy suits and buy time on the track - and we taxpayers will subsidize it.

So, really no more than about 4 people.

Yay!

You can't mock mine.

I franking nailed it.

I can start mocking my predictions first - had Arizona making the playoffs

I did foresee the NYR implosion though...

so i guess 50/50 on that.

nobody had Barzal for Calder I think (I was really really impressed by him when i saw him in NY 2 games in January)

I wonder how the intentional tank is going over with Sens fans.

Sens are terrible even when they're trying to suck.

Habs now worst than them while trying to win!

Babcock...

Switch Hyman and Kapenan.

Get it done.

4th line:

Hyman Leo Martin

- Hockey_Reverend

Not going to happen this year but it's a tantalizing idea.

No, but Kapanen needs some talent on his line. If we had a more skilled center playing on the 4th line, we'd have 4 lines that can contribute.

I see.

Well here are more inside information for ya:

Galchenyuk is reportedly terrible at golfing, avoid him at all costs.

Plekanec is a solid underrated pick, his concentration levels are through the roof.

I'm concerned at how Pleky's tight turtlenecs might restrict his upper body freedom of movement though.

Galchys like Dustin Johnson except when it comes to playing golf.

Plus, his turtlenecks provide ample warmth for him to play cooler climates courses.

Edit: TheMussel beat me to the punch.

I gotta go with mjones on this one. The turtleneck is actually a super advantage Plekanec has over his competitors.

Trust me on this one, you WANT him on your golfing team.

(I actually played a round of golf with Plekanec once, he's a solid player and a very nice guy... While him getting traded sounds inevitable at this point, I'll miss him and his long contribution to the Habs franchise.)

Yeah he seems like a good guy.

I don't think he'll be traded though.

Really?

I could see him being resigned for WAY less than his 6M salary but how can the Habs justify not trading one of their UFA-to-be at this point.

AND DON'T JUST SAY BECAUSE BERGEVIN IS STUPID! WE KNOW!

I'm sure the Habs would love to trade him but teams would need 3 million in cap space to fit a borderline 3rd line centre into their playoff lineups.

I'm sure the Habs could retain salary... we've had over 10M in capspace since the beginning of the season.

He'd be a solid 3rd/4th line centre option on most teams imo, he's played pretty well overall this year.... just can't put up the same 55-65 points as before.

The 3 million figure I threw out is already assuming the Habs retain the maximum 50% of his salary.

Well it's not like it would be 3M considering there's only what... 1 month and a half left in the season.

It's not as hard as you think to fit high salary players that are UFA at the end of the season.

Lehkonen has just remembered bow to produce offensively and Gallagher is having a solid year.

Plekanec has been just fine in his reduced role.... his salary is insanely too high but he's been just fine.

He's just getting old.

the cap is pro rated to the amount of games left.
