Pens give all teams problems because they come at you with so much speed. They move the puck fast up ice and create mismatches. The Leafs need a solid stay at home guy in their top 4 D.

That's why I think Hjalmarsson would be the best fit for the Leafs. McDonagh is better but I don't think the Rangers are trading him. Hjalmarsson is cheaper and can be the defensive conscience on the Leafs blue line. Babs knows him very well from all the past Wings - Hawks battles.

Leafs brass needs to determine unless they already know “if D men are being coached repetitively on how to defend in D zone and how to break out successfully” if they see some players have only a “nose” between the eyes and nothing more someone then needs to be moved to make this team better. Yeah I hear you. My wife is a nurse and she left at 615 for day shift and I have twin boys 21 months old so I have to be up.
