Looking at the projections when we were ahead against Ottawa did it for me. I can't handle picking 8th after watching this season.

I can't handle the oilers having a semi realistic shot at Dahlin. A part of me does hope they win it so that there's enough outrage that the NHL can take the leap among major sports and ditch the draft entirely.

I think we knew with the gain of the 2nd 1st last year told us they were going to try hard to get a QB in this year's draft. They must not have liked Mahomes for whatever reason.

To me, it seemed clear while watching the entirety of the Ottawa game that the 2 games prior were a mirage likely based on adrenaline and the team was going to be a range of bad to really bad the rest of the season.

The only things to look forward to are the returns on the obvious trade candidates and seeing how the kids playing in their place perform, if they don't just leave them buried in Rochester, which they may well do.
