Good points, but the lottery losses add to the "buffalo is a losing city"

Not quite the 4 super bowls, 2 Stanley cups and the almost old enough to drink draught.

It's a losing atmosphere, the locker room, the record , the fans and probably is getting to the pegulas.

I saw Russ Brandon in tears, after going 9-7 .

- Boss34

Perhaps, but losing city and atmosphere can't be cured with a lottery win. Oilers once called themselves the city of champions, won the mcdavid lottery and are still the butt end of all jokes in the NHL.

Genius with a plan

Or

Frustrated and capable of making a mess but not making a deal?

In Botts we trust(ed)?

I still do not understand why they continue to talk to Pominville like he's some hockey prophet...he's been a vanilla player for his entire career, but it was always cast aside because he produced...he hasn't done crap here since November and they're asking him what's wrong?
- Michael Pachla

He's been saying the same damn thing, verbatim, in post-game pressers his entire career. Agreed.

"We need to be better"

"The other team wanted it more"

"We need to re-group and figure it out"

"We gotta dig deep and find it within ourselves"

"We didn't stick to the gameplan"

I don't trust any man who wears a gold chain around his neck, personally.

it's not the fact that they're bad, most of us kind of figured that (imo jbotts did too), it's the style of bad.

Like if they could play with speed, make passes, take risks and generating scoring chances but were still losing totally different tone surrounding the team.

Obviously as a bad team they wouldn't be able to do this with too much success or consistency but enough so that you could say "hey there's something there".

so is Eichel still to blame?

nope

I expect him to get 65 points a year

hustle and play out every shift

make his line mates better

nothing more, nothing less

he plays 20 minutes a night on the 30th place team in the nhl and makes 7.5 per in a cap era

- homiedclown

It's the 7.5 that's really bothering you?
He's definitely paid 1-1.5 too much per season
That's the price of being buffalo.

He will be top 3 in scoring again for the 3rd straight year. He is really not as big of a problem as:

3/6 of the d
8/16 of the forwards
2/2 of the goalies
1/1 head coach

He has some inconsistencies to his game for sure, but I think he's still a top end 2nd center in the nhl.

Stats back it.

Come on with this, really? The price of being in Buffalo? You act like ROR would have settled for anything less somewhere else. The answer is he wouldn't have. He cried his way out of Colorado, came here thinking he would be "the guy" and has by all accounts, pouted in both places because he isn't the captain and doesn't have the talent to be a 1C. He isn't half the player Bergeron is, and as I said earlier, I'd take Nazeem Kadri on this team 10/10 times over ROR. What Kadri does compared to what ROR does is the difference this team needs.

the kids in the stands?

or
antipin, nelson and baptiste?

and why the f@ck is baptiste in the presser when there is a slot on the top 6 for him?

- homiedclown

Baptiste is not on the trade block apparently.

At the beginning of next season, when baps makes the team out of camp: will this healthy scratch hurt his development?
Will playing 8 minutes of uninspired hockey with pommer and Larson? Nolan and girgs? Really help?

If it isn’t one of these two why isn’t he getting players with more talent.

That’s his job, right?

because he's been here for less than a year and his best shot at getting players with more talent happens on june 23rd?

No, he went in the corner and hit his bong, from what I've been told.

Seems Sam saw the way and was producing with him if you remember .

Now it seems Sam is back to the backseat now. He was shining with Jack the past 3? weeks. Now it seems all the attention is back on ROR.

I have seen your evaluation of other people in this franchise and if they accomplished nothing for a year (other than bringing in Scott Wilson) that would not be labeled a “plan”.
