Its not that having a guy like Mcdavid doesnt have an impact, it absolutely does, but he phrased the post as "thats the lottery we needed to win".

I just can't look at this team right now and say "yeah because we wound up with Eichel, a #1 centre instead of mcdavid, a better #1 centre, that's where it went wrong".

As for your last point, Mcdavid couldn't bring babcock to edmonton, nor was he going to. He liked the Shanaplan more than any one player because he gets it. The team is more than the one guy, the plan is far more important than the lottery win.

McDavid may attract free agents, but it doesn't mean anything if the guy in charge has no idea which free agents to go after, see lucic, milan. or the other horrid trades Chiarelli has made.

McDavid can only do so much and only on the ice. He can't stop an idiot from doing idiot things because he's an idiot(chiarelli).

Good points, but the lottery losses add to the "buffalo is a losing city"

Not quite the 4 super bowls, 2 Stanley cups and the almost old enough to drink draught.

It's a losing atmosphere, the locker room, the record , the fans and probably is getting to the pegulas.

I saw Russ Brandon in tears, after going 9-7 .

And fwiw, gerbe decided to only NOW drop a truth bomb that he blows up regularly, he claims that JBotts has smashed an XBOX1, and flipped an entire nacho buffet, as well as other outbursts the media is well aware of.

Every single kids game this season, they've crapped the bed. It's unacceptable. And Pommer's and ROR's hamfisted comments were getting old months ago.

You've been on a gaslighting campaign for months against ROR. You've inserted innuendo, conjecture and personal biases to poison the board against him
- jcragcrumple

nope

I expect him to get 65 points a year

hustle and play out every shift

make his line mates better

nothing more, nothing less

he plays 20 minutes a night on the 30th place team in the nhl and makes 7.5 per in a cap era

Massive overpayment.

Ok, maybe not massive, but definitely an overpayment.

I would do 20, 21 and next year's conditional first(top 10 protected).

Is McCoy and a 2nd rounder worth alot more then the 11th overall pick in the NFL draft.

I think Corey Glenn is a guy the top drafting teams would be looking to add. Not sure about shady.

Glenn plays a hard position to fill in the NFL
Rbs are still easy to plug in with a good line, something bottom teams are lacking.

Both guys are Whaley guys so they both may be gone?

He still could get there, with no steady LW.

And I'm not talking about that. You often say "I have no strong feelings toward him either way," and then you tear him apart for not being married to the mother of his kid, drunk driving, the name of his kid, and a bunch of other things. You act like you're ambivalent to him, when the reality is you've started a campaign against him on this board. Just admit you don't like him. The innuendo about his leadership and relationship with Eichel have becoome accepted narrative on the board, and you're the source of it.

Me too.
Hopefully we keep lehner and he brings us to the promise land. (Top 5 pick)

The jbotts arupting rumors could be anything.

I would think he is particularly upset with a guy he's trying to trade playing lackluster. Possibly in front of scouts or gms that he's been workijng with for months.

Just an opinion.

I still do not understand why they continue to talk to Pominville like he's some hockey prophet...he's been a vanilla player for his entire career, but it was always cast aside because he produced...he hasn't done crap here since November and they're asking him what's wrong?

it's not the fact that they're bad, most of us kind of figured that (imo jbotts did too), it's the style of bad.

Like if they could play with speed, make passes, take risks and generating scoring chances but were still losing totally different tone surrounding the team.

Obviously as a bad team they wouldn't be able to do this with too much success or consistency but enough so that you could say "hey there's something there".

That's what gerbe said

Apparently, Phillip is having the same exact issues as Bylsma, in that only 2 or 3 players (homie mentioned Okposo, Pommers, Scandella) are even trying to play the Housley system.

Genius with a plan

Or

Frustrated and capable of making a mess but not making a deal?

In Botts we trust(ed)?
