Yes, there are some parts worth keeping...but I couldn’t care less if Pegula sold this roster to Seattle an$ the new Sabres were a bunch of cast-offs a la LV. Not one player 5hat was on that ice last night is honestly a core player...again a few could be complimentary
- Okposo ( gotta live with his contract, untraceable at this point)
- ROR ( for another year or two)
- Wilson ( decent enough for a 4th liner)
- ERod (put him on the 4th)
- Joesfson (if the F’er can stay healthy, a fine 4th liner)
- Risto ( unless they can get good value, then bye bye, we packed your belongings already)
- Nelson - good for him grabbing a slot
- Antipin (let the friggin kid play, are you f’g Kidding me? What are you trying to protect by sitting him, holy F)
- McCabe (I don’t want to give up on him, but he needs to progress)
- Scandella - he’s ok for a 3rd / 4th
I may have missed one or two, but not either Goalie.

The rest, GTFO.
Those above need to be held accountable. Enough not sticking to the plan, as we have heard for 50 games now just this season, say nothing of previous 2.

Those prospects you mention...not one has done a damn thing in the NHL yet.
Sure we have high hopes for them, and I will be excited to see them come up when ready. But here’s the thing...enough with giving them a chance to prove they belong...go prove in the Roch...you can’t do it there, bye bye. The NHL roster is earned, plain and simple, not given.

I’d sell Nylander today if they could get any value. If not, he would be riding the pine until he produces, not tries hard, but produces. It is a production job.

I just don’t understand the they are close logic, yes there are some prospects coming.
I would not let any of the newbies any where near this collection of losers, under achievers. Go to Rochester and learn to play against men, learn to lead by example, earn the promotion. They will learn to work and perform.
But, they won’t, they’ll give several a chance to prove themselves in the NHL on a poopty rudderless roster that accepts losing.

They also need to change the culture.
Only way to do that is weed out the non-performers, bad attitudes.
I’m not in the looker room, and do not have any inside info...so I don’t know who the problem children are but, my observation mixed with hearsay would be to get rid of the following, and fast
-Reinhart - sorry, you played like crap the last half of last season and half+ this season. You are the epitome of under-achiever and of weak mind. Thanks for picking up your play, maybe we can get something for your dead ass now.
-Kane - bye. Very low hockey IQ. We hopefully can get value, but your taking the foot of the gas hasn’t helped

It’s like a canoe race. If one boat has 10 guys paddling and the other boat has 6, the fact that the 6 are even in the race is impressive. You don’t blame the six, you blame the empty seats.

We have positions of need, and we have to find plugins that will do their job beyond just giving the six a couple of minutes off the ice.

This is not a throw away roster, it’s a “keep adding” roster.

Look at the schedule and count the number of points we’ve lost in one goal games or one goal and empty netter games. And blowouts, imo, have to be considered in light of the team’s demonstrated ability to play with and sometimes beat the league’s best teams. Yes, the six get blown out sometimes. They are outgunned and exhausting themselves always.

PS I don’t know if we have 6 or 5 or 7 or even 8 but you get the idea.
