There really is no magic formula, though. I mean, Briere and Drury were here together the first full year together, and the team blew, for the most part.

They dump Satan (a dressing room cancer from what I remember) and add some youth (Vanek), some savvy trades (Grier, a great leader by all accounts), Campbell breaks out finally, and their ascent to the top begins.

It doesn't have to be an all out purge. While we all want that, Botts needs to identify the "keepers" (as bad as these guys are, there have to be SOME keepers), and move on from the rest. If a guy like O'Reilly isn't a "keeper", then he's got to go.

Things are tough right now and have been for a long time in Sabreland. Lots of mistakes have been made and nobody actually has a legit answer in how to fix things, only speculation. I see some are getting their frustrations out, and that's good--great even. But, the best thing will always be stay the course with this season.

We already put in 75% of a joke season, a little more of this joke might actually land a legit #1 Dman or a sniper for Jack. It's the best we can hope for and what this team desperately needs.

Watching the team lose and even being laughed out of the building is a joke that has gotten old a long time ago, but wins now does nothing but hurt the team you hope to see iced next year or even a year or two from now.

I believe frustrations are more about nothing being done than anything else. A trade needs to be made already, even if it's Gorges for a 5th. Something has got to give, to give the fan base something else to focus their attention on. Hopefully if it is true that GMJB had himself a little meltdown today, something will happen soon. The fan base needs some sort of distraction, they're owed that much by this point.
