Why does everyone keep keying in on LW's as our need?

Hoffman would be competing with Thachuk and Gaudreau. Or removing size by pushing Ferland down.Or shifting a solid 2way player in Frolik down.

Believe me Hoffman is not my first choice at all. Just going off of what every sports journalist has said since the beginning of the new year.

If CGY trades for Hoffman or any other LW I’d assume Bennett goes the other way. Hoffman is a proven goal scorer while Bennett is still trying to find his game at the NHL level. If Tre believes the window is open, he may not want to wait on Bennett any longer.
