your opinion but it is natural for people to follow the leader, attitude, confidence and approach can all be affected. Putting Manning out for the first time on the PP no doubt was noticed by the team. I forget the last time something similar happen but the results were the same, a team that sat back and tried to protect.

I also agree with the poster that Manning was not playing well enough to think he would prevent any short handed attempt.

I think it can be top. They have arguably 3 of the top 15-20 best power player players (Ghost, Giroux, and Jake). Not to mention one of the best, if not the best net front man in NHL. To me, if this power play had a legitimate interior shooter, they would be unstoppable.

The way I view it is this: Schenn scored 17 goals on the PP last year, admittedly more of a statistical anomaly than something you can count on. But, if you can get 12-14 goals out of that spot with a better shooter, I think you should do it.
For reference, Couts has 6 powerplay goals. He's on pace for something like 8.5-10 for the year.

That is a matter of opinion. You're coming from the viewpoint that the players consciously or sub-consciously changed their level of effort once Manning was put out. That insinuates that they don't respect manning as a player or a teammate. I'm pretty confident that not's the case and that kind of thinking is not prevalent. Some of the BS posted on here never fails to amaze me.

This should be a rough physical game, can't wait to see who Jimmy Smith fights next
