Yes. But the calls are more ambiguous now than ever. To be fair most breakaway penalty calls are from well behind the play, and are argued intensely even when they are called, by fans. I didn't think it was obvious, but I think it happened and could have been called.

I won't feel embittered unless it happens again tonight or if they call it differently the other way.

I have a contradictory opinion. I think Seth Jones made a good play and stick on stick defense should be allowed. I also think penalties have been called on that kind of downward slash all season long.
