I could be wrong but I imagine it's a pro-rated contract. I guess that would still end up being 70-100k depending on how many games he plays.
- belcherbd

I meant in the context of if VAN only offered to start his contract in the fall, Gaudette would have to chose between taking the deal for a full season salary or returning to school. If he signed for the remainder of this year, it would be pro-rated

Much like Boeser coming in last season and having success I can totally see Gaudette doing the same. At this point we may not finish ahead of ARZ so why not try it?

The closer we can get to the bottom the fall won't feel so bad.

At this point watching this club play Hockey the past few games Linden/Benning/Aquilini or whomever is in bloody charge should be focusing solely on Dahlin and what it will take to get him here. Other than Gaudette and Demko maybe seeing a game or two that should be the highest of priorities.

Purchase if we decide to sell.
Exploratory still but getting ideas & a short list to go looky loo when the weather is better.

It's a little harder to get a construction mortgage on, you'll want to look over the strata Corp papers pretty good.
I developed one over here and the lots didn't sell quite as quick as bare lots do.
14 of the 18 lots are now built or being built upon right now, 10 years after development.
You'll have fees for shared water system and roads.
You will have your house site and acreage as well as usual access to shared property.
Generally it is a little cheaper then fee simple.

Only thing i'm annoyed at right now is TG playing Boeser and Horvat so much. Meaningful games are over. It's time to allow JV and Goldy to make some mistakes. Allow the leash to loosen a bit. I'm not talking allowing them to learn bad habits but to allow them to make a mistake and learn from it without sitting for the next 10 minutes.

I think the canucks need some good news and a Calder trophy would provide that.

Did you reset it after each time? Otherwise you are getting the percentage from where you landed?

I like
Dahlin
Svechnikov
Zadina
Tkachuk
Boqvist
Wahlstrom

After that there are good players but ones I like less then those 6.

IMO Canucks have more to gain long term by going the Utica PTO route than signing him for 2-3 weeks. But Boeser's success will draw parallels and reason to show off a new toy at the end of a bleak season

I'd like to see a Burke/Sedin-like effort to get Dahlin. Massive organizational need and a tremendous prospect

TSN Insider Trading: Pierre LeBrun: The Oilers could get a low first-round pick for Patrick Maroon.

If Maroon is worth a low first. He plays with McDavid and has 29 points.

Pierre LeBrun: A Thomas Vanek trade will likely have to wait until the likes of Evander Kane, Rick Nash, Michael Grabner and Patrick Maroon are moved. Contract talks between the Canucks and Erik Gudbranson are underway and they will get more serious in the next week or so. The Canucks priority is to re-sign him. If they can’t re-sign him, teams will make offers.

More Lebrun:

I would have to think that Tanev is worth at least a 1st round pick and a top prospect. I am being told that tons of teams have called on him. Vancouver has told those teams that they are not currently interested in moving him

Mentioned this yesterday on TSN but Ryan McDonagh's camp recently submitted his 10-team (no) list to the Rangers.... again, not really sure he's going anywhere before Feb. 26 deadline unless a team pays a big price; feels like a June decision, but who one never knows I guess

Feeling has got to be the same for JB and Tanev. You could trade for a 1st and that team wins the cup and it goes from a 17OA to 31OA.

I know he's got loads of skill but at 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds I'm not sure that's the kind of dman that could reach their full potential on a team like the canucks.

I think the deal would have to include a top prospect, that would seal it. I would honestly trade Tanev though for a late 1st (17 to 31) and a top prospect.
