ARI will want picks/prospects, won't happen. Don't think Goldobin will get any deal done. - VanHockeyGuy
What may interest any team about Goldobin is, the fact he has 1 year left of ELC, not requiring waivers.
He may be a part of a package, i doubt he alone would get much of a return. |

They'll want a pick/prospect as well. We all know how that'll go over |

I believe Max Reinhart is a RFA. Did you make that list? - VanHockeyGuy
I didn't make the list no. It was just part of the group 6 UFA's from online |

Yup.
The answer is no, unless Goldobin is the prospect. |

He can but wouldnt since he would only get 3 extra games out of it (Canucks end Apr 7 and Utica ends Apr 15 and he would be ineligible for AHL playoffs). Guys get "papered" by being sent down to the AHL at the TDL and then immediately recalled, they need to be on the AHL roster by a certain date to play in the playoffs. The exception being PTO and call ups from Jr/ECHL - WhiteLie
So he could sign a PTO with Utica and get to play there. Not burn a year of his ELC either. |

I am sure the world won't shut down over whatever happened to her.
I only follow hockey people on twitter. I am getting old, don't really have access to whatever is going on in Hollywood or whatever you call it |

Jeff Paterson
the effort was better, the result was the same. Hard to knock #Canucks in Bay Area, but more proof last night that even their good performances aren't good enough
No idea that Jeff Paterson was actually sherlock holmes. What a dumbass, it's the NHL. Effort is one part to winning hockey games. One of many parts.
Everybody already knows that the team lacks enough elite talent to win too many games. |

With expansion draft looming, thats my preference too. I hope he makes it to Frozen Four so that it creates a situation where mutually is best to have him go to Utica. Ottawa did it with White and all seems good there |

he could sign, but what would be the incentive for him to do that, and skip out on his final year of school to NOT sign and burn a year off his ELC. |

Too many fans fear NCAA free agency and rush to offer burning a year of ELC. Its a negotiating tactic but if he wants to leave school, then he has a whole year of income and an immediate signing bonus as "incentive". He's property of Vancouver until 2019, not some free agent that needs to be made promise to lure him over
Canucks can sign him the moment his season ends to a contract that starts in the fall, with max bonuses, and he would immediately receive $92,500 and that would already be worth as much as one year's tuition |

Yep, don't expect to see him in Utica unless he is signed before TDL. |

I totally get the signing bonus part. $92k is definitely nice, but I think these kids who go the college route, generally want the degree/diploma/whichever at the end of the 4 years as well. Aren't most of these players who play NCAA get their tuitions covered via scholarships anyway? |

I could be wrong but I imagine it's a pro-rated contract. I guess that would still end up being 70-100k depending on how many games he plays. |

They are on scholarship, but I was just equating the two as "value received". $92k bonus plus hockey income of $70k-925k vs room/board/tuition at Northeastern is approximately $68k (from some site I saw)
My initial impression of Gaudette that he is hockey first, and VAN could also promise to help him complete his degree in General Studies while playing pro if that really mattered to him... |
