Green on Baertschi's scratch last night in SJ : "He's disappointed. I don't think he was shocked. We go back a long way. I have a lot of belief in him & I still do. But I also know him as a player & know him when he's on & when he's not. I want him to be ready next time he's in." |

Madigan on Gaudette signing in Van, "I caution people, what Boeser is doing coming out of college is special. Adam still has things to improve, college will allow him to do that"
Madigan on Gaudette, "The expectations and hype surrounding Adam is very high, that is a lot for a young man at his age. Let the player develop."
That sounds like a coach who wants his star player back for another season. |

Add to that a coach thats never coached in the NHL. An end of the season trial then to Utica next year is not out of the question. No gifting of a spot should be expected. I also don't see the benefit or whaf is to gain playing another year in college & not moving on to developing in the pros. Utica makes sense to me. |

Can he go from the NHL to the AHL at the end of the year? If Utica is still playing. |

Yup - VANTEL
After the season Gaudette has nothing left to prove in NCAA.
Burn that ELC year & embrace the tank. |

Pattersson asked Green post game if he was "protecting an asset" in scratching Baertschi (via trade) and he gave him an angry reply. Said Baertschi (despite getting 2 assists the night before) didn't look engaged. Louii Eriksson has 4 points in the last month, but hey, points don't mean anything |

He should be able to. If he signs and burns a year of his ELC, the ELC wouldn't be a one way contract. The problem is, I think that the AHL season ends much sooner than the NHL season does. Unless Utica goes deep into the playoffs, it probably won't be AFTER the Canucks play their last regular season game. I am not 100% sure on this though.
EDIT - AHL regular season is 76 games compared to NHL's 82. They are both roughly around the 50-55 game mark. I do think that the AHL schedule is more frequent for games in a week than the NHL though. |

Idk if TG divilges all things about all players & why should he. As for choosing a comparison with LE its more about position. A LW vs RW in this case. Would that have any bearing on his decision to sit Sven? Idk |

The comparison was made directly by Paterson. I am not sure why he used LE specifically (it must have been a point comparison) |

It sounded pretty clear to me, that, Green wanted Goldobin playing top 6, not top 9. Baertschi was on top offensive line and Erickson is a 3rd liner.

He can but wouldnt since he would only get 3 extra games out of it (Canucks end Apr 7 and Utica ends Apr 15 and he would be ineligible for AHL playoffs). Guys get "papered" by being sent down to the AHL at the TDL and then immediately recalled, they need to be on the AHL roster by a certain date to play in the playoffs. The exception being PTO and call ups from Jr/ECHL |

Hey buddy!
Sven is known to go into whiny female dog mode off the ice some times. This is probably Green's way of telling him to pick up his bottom lip before he trips over it in my opinion. |

ARI will want picks/prospects, won't happen. Don't think Goldobin will get any deal done. |
