What is wrong with his game tonight? - manvanfan
did u notice him?
I believe TG has issues with his compete level. Doesn't fight to get the puck back. |

so youre saying
domi + schenn for hutton + goldy?
perhaps add a swap of bad contracts - SMBDragon
I see Arizona just seeding the Domi speculation. Get a haul at the TDL or wait til the offseason. Just a guess on my part. |

In there lies the problem with Corsi. They forgot to actually watch the game. - manvanfan
You mean the game were they just got destroyed 4-1 and Hutton wasn't playing. |

Gotta admit, that was a beauty play by the Sedins and Vanek. - LeftCoaster
Ive said it before, sedins need to keep skating in the offensive zone.
plays like this are what happens when they do that |

Hartman just smoked Silfverberg with a clean open ice hit & jumped by 3 guys.
No instigator was given. Idk but clean hits meaning gooning results is getting way out of hand. |

2nd period Canucks haven't scored but it's been a hell of a period to watch. - manvanfan
I thought the team played well, they hit, competed hard. Again the goalie needs to be better and cant let early goals in. |

The problem is, those open ice hits are starting to cause a lot more injuries than is good for the game. Taking someone out against the boards where they can brace and have some give is one thing, but with the speed the game is now, it's time to start phasing out those big huge hits in open ice or someone's going to get killed one of these days. |

Great, thanks for 20 pages of arguing about toughness...
Personally, I disagree, as longneck as the player getting hit has the puck, i.e. a hit to āseparateā a player from the puck. I would like to see stiff penalties handed out to players who āstick up forā their teammate who took a clean hit though. |

Oh i agree to a degree but my point is every hit these days a player has to fight.
Dirty hits or weasels who get away with it are more my focus. Iāve no answer |

Could we see a trade upcoming with the Leafs or CBJ? Idk why or who in the other game between Col-Mon. Guessing maybe D to the Avs? - Nighthawk
Maybe Iām naĆÆve, but donāt teams have pro scouts at pro games all season long? I get that things might ramp up close to the deadline, but there are probably 100ās of pro scouts in action every day of the regular season. All this listing of which scouts are at which game just seems totally overblown lately. |

I tend to agree, since I used to be a big 3rd pairing defensive D in my midget/Junior B days, I hated having to fight when I'd knock some forward admiring his pass too much. But then when I played, neither of us were fast enough to do that much damage to each other (unless it was a dirty hit) and usually the guy I hit would be the one wanting to fight, not everyone else on the ice.
It's a much different game now, guess I think the game and the rules on body checking should evolve to catch up to the speed and size of the players. They rightfully started punishing hits to the head and for the most part took that out of the game. Again, there's not much open ice hitting anyways, so maybe I'm just focusing on something that only happens maybe once every couple of games. |

I was a mid sized 1st pairing D thru midget & hit & finished all my checks i could. Difference was none were hits to destroy the other player. Yes the NHL is much bigger & faster & definitely more difficult to mitigate open ice hits to lessen injuries. What i believe is most players skate around with impunity & not aware of hits coming & pretty much set themselves up. Self preservation seems lost on them & the lack of the art of receiving or avoiding hits is the result . I find it hard to see it any other way. Crossing the middle of the ice has been dangerous simce i can remember. Head on a swivel always. Eg Lindros |

I watch the games.
Hutton is a decent(and inconsistent) bottom pairing dman, Pouliot is trash. He's waiver wire material.
Out of all the young dmen that have played over the last couple of years, Tryamkin was the one with the most upside, too bad the coaching staff was terrible. The rest of the young dmen on the roster right now are nothing special, Hutton included. |

Yes Tryamkin was intriguing.
Will we ever get the full truth of it?
The depth he would have brought us could only have helped. The dominos wouldāve meant Stecher in Utica developing most likely. |

The score doesn't really show the game. Martin Jones made a lot of key and really good saves.
With Boeser's wrist injuried. Van has the same problem they had last season. A lack of finishers. |

I don't know what Daniel was on last night but 5 hits.
Other then the goal JV was on against, I thought he played well. Surprised he still only played just under 11 minutes. I understand that TG has a bit of role for him. Be nice if he could get rewarded a bit more to the 14 minute mark. |
