Gorges was one of the most intangible tank commanders. Most intangible player on a historically bad team two years in a row.

Now hes on the 2nd worst team in the league and his intangibles regularly get benched. AND TEAMS WANT TO TRADE FOR HIS INTANGIBLES???????????

This reminds me of beer league hockey when you're short players so a guy who normally plays offense is stuck on the backend and doesn't communicate.

I'd be shocked, but these things happen. I'd target Falk or Fedun instead if I were a GM.

I'm not usually one to cry "poor Buffalo," but it's funny that this team always wanted a cap because we never had wealthy owners, and then the cap comes and we don't want it. It like the lottery changes happening right when we need it.

Yeah, it's been "Buffaluck".

Does anyone know how to complain about the Miller High Life ads that are popping up like crazy (top and bottom) on this blog? These are new in my settings. They are ruining it for me because they keep moving the pages/comments up and down and it's driving me nuts.

This board after a loss

I'm really getting sick of the pro-tanking bullpoop on here. We all know we would benefit more from finishing lower to get a higher draft pick. But constantly losing is not beneficial to any current players in the long run...they need to learn how to grow and, eventually, how to consistently win.

Oh, and for those creaming their pants over the tank...1 high draft pick does not automatically guarantee your franchise the playoffs (see, e.g., McDavid, Eichel, etc.).

It seems like we go through this every year with both the Sabres and Bills. Winning these meaningless games, although nice, only hurts us gaining elite talent which we need. I have never seen evidence that it will break the loser culture and be carried into the next season.

Come October, seven months will have gone by and these games will have been long forgotten. Coem next October, 1/3 of this team will be new faces and the'll had nothing to do with these meaningless wins. You want to change the culture, it starts in training camp, and force them to play to win the preseason games.

100% agree
Go kings ! Saturday.

It's terrible having to root against the sabres, but elite talent is easier to find with the top picks.

2nd gets us 5th buffaluck factor.

Surprised if more than 16 on the current roster are here next opening night. 10 new faces, hopefully

i get almost no satisfaction these days out of the sabres scoring or winning, so might as well root for a loss

im actually sort of concerned how damaged my fandom will be once they are good again. like whats it going to take for me to start cheering at a goal?

Adblock. No offence to Pach, but the rest of the writers on this site can go pound sand. The ads don't help any of them unless a reader clicks on them, which I imagine almost no one does.

The top cluster of this draft is 5 players. Winning some meaningless games and picking 8th would feel terrible.

Watching some inspired play from players who were garbage for 3/4 of the season is more frustrating than enjoyable.

On the other hand, watching Nelson step up is enjoyable. Hoping things start to click for Baptiste or Antipin is worth watching too. I want a top 5 though!

Couldn't agree more

Jbotts and Phil have our backs.
If not, that's strike 1. Need a top 5.

As a season ticket holder, they suck early, then no one wants to go to the games. At least start hot if you are finishing 24th.

I’m sitting 4 rows behind the Sabres goalie for the Saturday game vs the Kings. Sixty bucks a ticket... not too shabby.

I don't subscribe to the stealth-tank theory, but we share the same ambition for the remainder of the season.

Unless jbotts likes players rated 6-10, I would think he'd love a top game changer. The world juniors really teased us if we end up picking outside the top 5.

It's going to look like a college campus around here after the deadline and college teams get eliminated - hopefully

Jason kasdorf should get a look
