Your nuts if you think BT is going to trade any of his top 4 defencemen away. Brodie, Gio, Dougie and Hammer are NOT going anywhere. It would be ridiculous.

I do see Mark Stone as a trade chip for teams looking for a #4 defenceman at the trade deadline.

We are looking to add a scoring winger so we're not trading anybody in the top 6.

As for the bottom 6 Janko's probably the only untouchable one. Brouwer' contract is an albatross, so nobody's going to pick that up. In the forward group Bennett is probably the only asset that is considered tradable and his value is probably at an all time low, and he's still young yet so I highly doubt he gets traded.

We have so few top 1st and 2nd round picks for the next few years we're not going to be trading those.

That leaves only prospects, and while we may part with one of those it would be like pulling teeth.

As I see it, chances are BT would be looking to trade Stone, a prospect and a 3rd for a top 6 winger, with DEFINITE emphasis on a righty to help the power play. Maybe Bennett fits in there somewhere I don't know.

I dont think stone would fetch very much and BT knows theres young guys in stockton like ras who could step in, hes said it a couple different occasions. Brodie is our best bargaining chip right now but may be smarter to hold him until the draft.

If carry the puck to center, bump it back to Gaudreau, then stand still and watch him take it over the blueline before he stops and feeds cross ice, is going to make a difference in this game the Flames lose.

The best the Flames can hope for is the refs put their whistles away.

Any trade is an admission by Treliving that he has constructed a team not capable of winning while giving up the future and negotiating like a fiend.

He would be better off to admit that he hire caches who do not know how to properly use the talent that he has assembled

What d in their prospect pool are close to any of those guys? Just because they are flames prospects isnt the only reason we like them. They are solid young prospects and teams know we have a deep d prospect pool.

Chychrun is already playing for them, Joseph has more potential than any of the Flames' prospects besides Välimäki, Wood is also pretty decent.

The Flames have solid prospects but they don't really have any studs that Arizona is going to want if they're moving Domi. The only way I see Domi as a Flame is if Bennett is going the other way.

Also, Fox isn't worth anything in a trade until he's signed to a contract.

I don't disagree totally! I think well see some sort of addition before the playoffs. May not be what anyone has mentioned or huge trade.
As far as coaching nothing is changing this year. Ive accepted that.

Interesting What If story. Listening to the BSN Avs podcost, talking about trade deadline.

They told an almost trade that happened at the 2016 draft before Flames traded for Elliott. The 2 teams were deep in talks in a Sam Bennett and a 2nd rounder for Varlamov.

Deal fell through bc Roy was pushing for the deal, Sakic was not, Flames wanted to find a goalie so they moved on to Elliott instead.

I assume both fan bases are find with this not happening

I think that makes sense. Chuky can make the Janko, Benny line work and Backs is good enough to make the 3rd line work. Brouwer back to looking like a buyout...he's an anchor wherever they put him.
