He really didn't. After a shut out win against their biggest rival you'd think he'd look happy. I think he regrets taking the jobs.

I'm sure it burns you out dealing with the questions all the time

Yep! You beat my edit. Doug was happy Cappy was coach and taking all the heat and Doug had no pressure. He looked bothered tonight he even had to face the press.

Still not the Ranger job and answering questions from Brooks. Isles have like 3 people covering them and one in Stan.

The Rangers thread is depressing right now and I love it. Nice work by the Islanders.

My favorite comments from over there

I hate how good Matt Barzal is. If they keep him and Tavares that is a great 1-2 punch for years

It's a nice warm feeling that Barzal will be poopting on the Rangers for the next 10+ years

Still no answer for Barzal, what a bunch of losers

I read that article this morning and it pissed me off. One win is not going to make Islander fans step back. Even making the playoffs woint help Garth at this moment

Wanna bet? He's got something on somebody. No GM in any professional sport holds onto their job this long without some form of winning. One playoff series is not "winning" or successful to me.

Exactly. His incompetence has stunted this teams growth for 12 (frank)ing years one win against an AHL line up for the most part does nothing. Hysterical how people can actually defend this guys complete ineptitude.

I will say I understand if they wait for the end of the season at this point but he needs to go bottom line and Islander fans are not going to stop until he is gone. Like I said yesterday re assign him somewhere. Just keep him away for making descions on this team

Garth should not get a second longer as GM, but we know he will be here.
