he did make a comment the other day about how if the Canucks are really rebuilding, they need to be stockpiling picks and if not are they really committed? I agree with that, but I guess if you throw a hundred darts at the board even Botch will hit the mark once. - neem55

No problem. I've made a couple mistakes this morning too. I tried to have 6 players on the PP. - manvanfan
Ya, clearly Newell Brown isn't working for the current team/NHL. Partially it's personnel too because the Sedin's control the PP quite a bit and are good at possession (not really at scoring). |

Wonder if a package of Trent Frederic, Brandon Carlo, and a first-round pick would be enough for Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh.
Would you take that for Tanev? - manvanfan
yes. |

Getting Carlo would allow Guds to move on as well. |

That's a lot of fans of other teams happy with the Benning extension. |

I have read so many reports saying that Carlo will not be made available in any sort of trade from Boston. I don't see any trade that Boston makes that will involve Carlo or McAvoy, those two guys are their future. |

I would say currently Tanev is an improvement over Carlo.
I know they said they wouldn't trade any younger players. I think that's more for rentals in that case. |

I agree. Teams also wanting to try to win now, while their core still can, is a thing. Boston's core are no spring chickens. |

apparently 1040 and 650 polls were also in favor of Benning. I think the negative fans just tend to be more vocal. |

It may have helped to listen to TL and JB talk about how the plan hasn't really changed. The younger, faster, draft and develop is going to continue. Just won't happen over night. Instead of listening to Botch and all the rest of the media claiming that they are failing at it. Really nothing ever positive out of the province about the Canucks. |

Punisher was well done.
Daredevil is still the best of all the Netflix comic-adapted series but Punisher comes close. |

Kaskinen on Juolevi : "Olli is playing at a good level, showing his offensive skills and developing his defensive play. He is still working hard on 1st fast hits and box out play."
Kaskinen says Juolevi is very good playing under pressure and has very smart 1st passes, "playing tight gap on defense and hitting fast in the defensive zone are on his work list."
Kaskinen says Juolevi is a very good prospect who will play in the NHL.
Kaskinen on the #Canucks 2nd prospect on the team Petrus Palmu, "Petrus has had a very good 1st season as a pro. He is on the 2nd line and plays on the 2nd pp unit. Overall very happy with him."
Coach of TPS Turku - manvanfan
Hopefully these are better than they were at rookie/main camp. His offensive game is fine, but his defensive game definitely has(had) glaring weaknesses |

More @botchford: Even if Gaudette's a really good third line centre, even if Pettersson is a good top-six centre in the next year or two, even if Boeser keeps going, it's still not enough. You're still a long ways away from building a really good team #canucks - LeftCoaster
Sounds like something you’d say... |

Nash has always been insanely overrated - CanuckDon
Holy crap, yes! I don't get the hype. I thought he always looked out of place on any all-star or Olympic teams. It is insane. Props to his agent. |

2015-16 New York Rangers NHL 60 15 21 36 30 8 5 2 2 4 4

2017-18 New York Rangers NHL 57 17 10 27 24 -6
Over the last 4 seasons he has ranged from 27 to 38 points! This is the most coveted player in the entire league at the deadline! Not to mention he sucks in the playoffs I don't get it either. |

not one that has spent 200k on plastic surgery to look like Bruce Jenner? You can age to 50 and still be good looking without going under the knife... |

There really isn't a lot of 20 year old D in the NHL or AHL or where ever have that complete game. Few and far between.
My friend was talking to Chevy and he was saying they drafted Morrissey for his offence because he had no clue how to play defence. Now two years later he's playing on the top pairing on one of the best teams in the league. He's isn't really known for his offence.
I think OJ's current game is suited like Tanev to transition the puck out of his own zone and up the ice. |

Oh, I agree. Having plastic surgery before you age is a recipe for disaster. But as I approach 50 I'm starting to be a little less judgemental on people's appearance who are over 50.
Let me tell you, it gets harder and harder to look your best as you age. Sometimes I look in the mirror and ask "who the (frank) is that guy?"

Massively overrated. Plus when Nash put all the CDN teams on his no-trade list when he was being moved out of Columbus it was easy to lose all respect for the clown. |

He is a coward. He knew that the Canadian media would shred him apart when he disappears for 20 games at a time. |
