That's why I said relatively. Phil doesn't have any glaring holes in his game, but he's not revered for his play in the defensive zone. If he didn't have the consistent, elite offensive production that he has, he'd be Alexander Semin. Great shot, offensively gifted, but not a reliable or elite producer. That's a very possible outcome for Sprong's career.

I also think Brassard would be the best way to improve the team, but seems like they don't want to meet the asking price.
