I think bith those guys make too much money, gotta b a simpler solution - Jordy8
Plekanec would be super cheap come deadline day especially with even just slight retention. |

True. I'd even give them Hunwick if they wanted.
Hunwick for Daley, Feds? |

Deal - Feds91Stammer
Daley > Hunwick no doubt but the problem here is money and term. |

Term is the same. They both suck. I will gladly take the 900k savings. |

Yeah I agree the PP% can sometimes be skewed like you said. But what I was getting at (and Tojo made it clearer) is you can't just look at Hornqvist pts/60 on the PP versus Gentzals because Hornqvist does more on the PP than just gets points. - willi
Definitely true, that was why I was looking at the production of all 5 players on the ice. naturalstattrick.com has a really cool line tool where you can construct a line and see their production throughout the season at various strengths (5v5, 4v4, PP, PK). |

With PP being relatively small samples it is also probably best to look at CF60 and HDCF60 more so than GF60 |

Thanks, that is a useful tool. And if I'm reading it correct, the team has played 43 minutes on the PP without Kessel, Geno, Sid, Horny and Letang on the ice and have scored just 1 goal. |

So.... Just to confirm. It sounds like Rutherford definitely commented that he's willing to mortgage to future to win now.
FWIW... Tiops said Sprong and our first is on the table. He also says Gustavsson is not. Again, FWIW. |

TIOPS reporting the Pens are very much ready to move their 1st or Sprong for the right player.
Brassard seems to be the big target, but that things won't happen until right up to the deadline.
Remember: I'm just relaying info from TIOPS. Don't shoot the messenger. |

Here's what came up for me, looked like 3 goals in 34 minutes on mine. |

I meant without any of the top 5 being on the ice they have scored just 1 goal
It was the very last line on the bottom |

OOH my bad. I misread that, I thought you were talking just about Horny. Yeah, Pens 2nd PP unit sucks lol but who cares when the top one is so lethal and plays 80% of the PP. lol |

So on the real, if the Pens did acquire someone on the level of Brassard, who do you guys think comes out of the lineup, Reaves or Kuhn?
Simon-Sid-Rust/Sheary
Hagelin-Geno-Hornqvist
Guentzel-Brassard-Kessel
Kuhn-Sheahan-Reaves
This basically means that Rust and/or Sheary would have to play 4th line minutes which from a depth standpoint is great even though it's kind of a waste.
That would be a nice problem to have.

I don’t have a good answer, but IF the Pens are offering a first, I’m definitely not sending Sheary as well. |
