Really know the Leafs are rolling well, when they are put shot by 30 and win 6 - 3..

I didn't get to watch the game last night but followed it on NHL.com

Kadri had a night to remember by the looks of things..

Giving up 57 shots against and winning 6-3. That has to be some kind of a record. They can't possibly play like this and expect to win in the playoffs.

Fifty-seven (frank)ing shots against.

Ya its a lot shots..no doubt.
But they won.
They'll learn.

the leafs haven't lost a single game when giving up 57 shots this year.

the outrage is overblown as usual

No sh1t! lol
That's crazy....but its still not good to give up that many. I wonder though, how many are actually quality scoring changes and not just perimeter ones? If we are giving up alot of low quality scoring shots.....not that big of a deal.

How many games is andersen actually on pace to play?

68. That's not that crazy for a number 1 goalie.

Probably 18 of the remaining 23... unless the last few games don't matter then he'll likely get some rest along with a few others...

People are putting too much stock into the number of shots are being given up, or taken.

The top 3 teams that generate the most stops per game are all out of the playoffs. 5 out of the top 10 are not in the playoffs.

Tampa Bay gives up as many shots as they generate.
Nashville, Washington and Toronto all generate less then they give up. 4 of the top 10 teams give up as many shots or more then they generate. Washington has the biggest difference.

The leafs give up a bunch of shots when they have the lead. When playing from behind they actual generate more shots then they give up.

I know Babcock mentioned it earlier this week. That when the take a big lead, they tend to get carried away. Obviously getting out shot like last night isn't good, but I don't think it is as big an issue as some are making it out to be. It's a young team that gets carried away when they get the lead and think that they can just run a gun for the rest of the game. They are young, I have confidence that Lou and Babcock will be able to fix this.

I think Komarov needs to be on that Kadri line. It just seems off without him.

It's horseshoe hockey. If they keep playing this way, it will eventually catch up to them. It'd be a miracle for them to be successful playing this way.

Columbus is/was a desperate team, fighting for a playoff spot.. I expected a strong push from them.. A lot of their shots were from beyond the faceoff circle. CBJ is a good team too, they are a heavy, physical and fast team...The Leafs won't be giving up 57 shots every game.. It was a good win, they battled all game.

Columbus maybe had 15-18 really good scoring chances, most of the shots were from beyond the face off circles

the only real issue with yesterday's game is that Matthews line was outplayed by the Foligno line, like bigly.

At one point I think it was Millen who mentioned the Leafs only had 9 scoring chances in the game and had 5 goals. Flippin crazy!

Shots against. All this will tighten up in the playoffs, like everything else.

Still don't really love our odds in the playoffs this year, but I ain't complaining about being the underdogs again; could make some noise.

Hopefully we play TB first, because BOS scares me more right now.

Considering that Columbus has had 3 games in a row with more than 50 shots I think we can cut the Leafs a bit of slack.

It's kind of funny but it seems like those games where goalies are assaulted by 40+ shots they tend to get really dialed in. Then again, if they weren't dialed in they wouldn't have lasted 40+ shots much less 20. So I guess I really don't have a point here...

... but Andersen!!!
