Does this happen in nhl ufa circles that another team could or would try to contact a player secretly to find out to prime a deal moths later when he is officially ufa? Tampering???
Does this happen-what can you tell me? - BreathLeafs2015
Meh, I dont doubt it doesnt. |

All I know is its impossible for the Leafs to catch Boston or beat them... - SofaKingBored
You may be wrong. Leafs were 5-0-1 before that last game against Boston. Leafs lost because they played third game in four nights. Toronto has Boston’s number |

damn... I thought that might be the case...
why are they bothering to even play the rest of the season then? might as well just quit now - BorjeFan4Ever
Catch, maybe, beat, totally possible. |

That's the thing though Wedgie. 99% here don't like him as a number 6.
No one has ever, ever suggested Polak should play higher than a number 6. EVER.
But anyone who doesn't mind him as a 6 are ridiculed. Anyone can kill penalties and all that malarkey. - walshyleafsfan
Reminds me of when we ran Hal Gill out of town. Wasn't good enough to play for us, because he was making an outrageous $2 million.
Then Pittsburgh gave him heavy minutes in game 7 to win the Stanley Cup. |

We dont. Not unless he turns down a massive money/term offer the Isles will throw at him to leave and he becomes a UFA. - Roadrunner75
Money is a non issue, he is going to get paid wherever he goes. If he really wants to win I could see him leaving the island. |

not trolling here ... but I watched the whole game tonight, and yes the Jackets outchanced the Leafs ... but for the most part Anders7n saw most of the shots, the D did a pretty good boxing out... and with the exception of Seth Jones, they really didn't look very dangerous to me.
lots of shots, yes, too many to sustain, but not that many really dangerous ones - and very few multiple shot/rebound situations. |

That goes without saying...but glad you said it...it's what we're all thinking. The 9-1 record including a win over unbeatable TB solidifies our thoughts. Just not good enough to compete. |

Polak is ok as a 6-7 guy. He an be useful when used appropriately. Just like Komarov is useful when used appropriately. |

There are so many slow defencemen in the NHL. Like 40% are slow. A lot go on to win cups or play really well elsewhere. Leafs fans have no time for certain players, and once they're targeted there's no turning back. Moore, Polak, Hyman, Komarov, Bozak and Martin have all entered this area. There's no turning back for them. Some are finally coming around to Hyman, but not many.
Modern day Leafs fans have no desire for role players anymore. |

This is the nicest thing I've read about Polak all year. To be fair, with a healthy lineup,I don't believe Polak has ever been used as more than a number 6 dman who kills penalties. |

36-21 we’re scoring chances for Jackets at one point before Kadris third goal. 14-7 high danger scoring chances at that point.. didn’t see the end tally. Weird game, defiantly outplayed and Anderson was awesome again but leafs had some nice goals |

I dont get it either. For the money, More is fine at what he is. Polak again, he has his role on the team. As for Bozzie, if we were paying him 2.5-3-is I wonder if these same people would complain. No problem with him, wins faceoffs, good in the SO been through thick and thin with the team. Be curious should he walk what he would fetch and a 3rd line Center with those traits. |
