I hear that a lot and it makes little sense to me, was that empty net the difference in the series? We went out in 5, it's not like that was game 7 - KreiderBomb
If you want to criticize the coach for blowing three leads and losing all three games, two of which were in double overtime and one in single overtime, that’s fine and valid. Player deployment there helped create the issues, though the lack of a goaltenders’ interference call didn’t help. But to say it was just a five game series doesn’t provide the true picture of what happened. I still believe if Nash scores in Game 5, New York wins Game 6 at home and sends the series back to LA for Game 7.

what about all the great coaching it took them to get to the finals in the first place?

It changes the whole series. Pressure on a huge favorite
Was it game 1,2 or 5? I forget. Either way it puts pressure on LA

Unfortunately we'll never know, we did blow a lot of leads that series so even if we got through that one we could have very blown another one

Kreider missed about 20 breakaways that series too. Clearly AV's fault
I have consistently said that AV's been a great coach for the Rangers and now his time is up, every coach has a shelf life
you have consistently said he's always sucked - jimbo83
I don’t think he’s always sucked, I just never wanted him bc of his soft style of coaching. Soft/speed games don't usually work out to well in the playoffs when it’s more of a grind it out/physical style of play.
