Buddy was out with Kreider, Mac, and Shatty sat night. Did not talk to much hockey with them as he can tell uneasy vibe right now. They are all boys so they take it personal when someone is traded.

Shatty was not limping at all. Kreids looked fine, and Mac def did not seem injured. Thats allI got so far haha

Hey boys posting from Thailand. Just reading over the last couple of pages and I honestly like AV and don’t want him gone. I’m responding to Jimbo because i think he agrees with me that this team is just not built to win right now. AV has done much more good than bad and I still believe that he is the man for job regardless of the the bad season everyone is having on this team not named Henrik Lundqvist. In saying this team reminds me of the Yankees before this past season they just had. Not saying they are going to the finals next season but in regards to always trying to stay competitive but deep down you know they have reached there ceiling. Injuries played a big part this season but that’s no excuse. I see a quick turnaround though because i do see some really positive pieces. Trade Nash and Grabner and get back as much as possible. I personally would keep Mcdonagh. Only way i am giving him up is if i am getting Sergachev and a 1st from Tampa. Macs having a tough time of it this season but so are a lot of people. We aren’t nearly getting on Zuccs for his lack of production. I love Zuccs but he needs to be better. I have a feeling chytil is going to be better than Lias Anderson. Idk why i think that but just my gut feeling watching both of them play. Pionk has impressed me very much and hopefully he can keep it up. Rangers need to shore up the defense. Biggest issues on this team moving foward in my opinion.

Now 16 death confirmed, with the gunman being about an 18 or 19 year old ex school student there, by the name of Nicholas Cruz.
The equally sad part of this, Jan, especially for all in that community down there, is that my cousin down there in Fort Lauderdale informed me that if you are 18 years old minimum, you are permitted to carry a gun anywhere down there. So the suspect could have even used a stolen gun(s), according to what he heard as temporary news down there.

Now 17 dead, and my cousin down there said he heard that count could still rise.
Also, the suspect had been expelled from that high school at some earlier time for disciplinary reasons.

As to McDonagh, this isn't the case when the Rangers couldn't meet Cally's crazy demands a few years back, when he also wanted the Rangers to make up for the additional Florida State Tax savings he would save if signing with Tampa. Gorton has the control now over Yzerman, in contrast to Sather at that time.
That Tampa Bays Times beat writer in Joe Smith, who Jan brought up here yesterday, in saying that Yzerman had informed Joe Smith that his team "wants to win now, and not go sideways", infers that Yzerman is the very desperate party this time. So McDonagh should be held off from being dealt until getting closer to the deadline should all other possible interested parties do not come up with better offers than his, should Yzerman make one very soon.
Even then, if still not receiving a sufficient exchange, McDonagh could be retained until after the season, when Gorton can attempt to deal him prior to, or during the NHL Draft. That series Finals loss to the Kings was not A.V.'s fault. Anyone who thinks so just doesn't get it.
The horrible reffing against them at times played a huge part as well, especially on that winning difference Kings goal scored, with a King's player simultaneously on his own, down on top of Hank in his goal crease. That led to that appropriate rule change and more beginning in the FOLLOWING season. Also, the Rangers had bad luck in shots of their's striking goal posts earlier during those Kings' Double OT wins.
But, now today, it appears that A.V., especially should the team become predominantly completely younger, is likely no longer best suited under this plan of Gorton and Sather. Last off season was devoted into utilizing all the speed and skill as possible to win games. Yet, they still didn't utilize that all this season, right from the start, in playing a passive type, "afraid to make mistakes" game.

I'd personally do separate deals and get more quality players and picks than 1 player

Rangers would be smart to put a claim in for Jeff Glass, teams need goaltending help and we could maybe get a pick for Pavelec or Glass
