What of those molds fits? Dion is middle aged at 32, past prime sure but I wouldn't say over the hill yet. Overpaid sure at $7.0 At $5.25 a bit. Physical? I haven't seen a double Dion nor a memorable hit in 3 years from him. And the dman part... sure it's his labelled position. I prefer Lord Larsson at 4.1667M at 25 years of age, locked up for another 3 years at that rate vs Dion and his $7M hit and $5.25 actual over the same span. Numbers according to capfriendly.com.

Edmonton has 2+ defensemen better now and caply than dion.

I’m not sure why people thought Nicholson was some kind of outstanding hockey mind just because he was in charge of Hockey Canada for a while. Easiest job on the planet and they still over think junior teams every year. I think he’s way over rated.

Yup... Success was pretty much a given with a talent pool like that. I wouldn't crap on him because of it, but I certainly wouldn't be singing his praises either.

I’m a little less stoked on him than some seem to be. Got some flashes of offence, good skater. but I’m not sure his troubles without the puck don’t overshadow the modicum of offence

Auvitu I would keep... I love his point shot- better than Klefbom in that this season- he seems to at least get the shot on the net and in his small sample size.

If Phaneuf can be traded twice, I should think Lucic could be moved.
