That you don’t think that Q’s coaching is a problem shows your total lack of objectivity. When I read that you thought it was a good move to put sniper DeBrincat, the only forward that has been scoring lately, with the AHL-level Wingels and Bouma, I thought you were joking. Joking. Assuming you were serious this opinion is ludicrous.

Q has always been a super-stubborn person. The Hawks didn’t win Cups because of him but in spite of him. However, this year Q has been simply reckless and has destroyed team morale.

Really? If coaching wasn't important then its the players that are struggling to score on the power play. It's players struggling to play defense or is it the mind set, when the Hawks won all those games and championships they did it in spite of Q, and now that they are losing its all Q's fault? Sorry you can't have it both ways that for a lack of a better word is bull poop.

Blackhawks could go 0 for February.

Ottawa the only team they play this month with fewer points.

Throw in Seabs play and that is 34 mil in cap space....

I don't blame Kane really. His downturn of late is more related to what is going on around him. He isn't perfect. You can see Kane's frustration on the ice with the crap play around him but he was the only guy showing up for the first part of the season.

Bottom line, and WIZ, whom I have a lot of respect for and enjoy reading his commentary, backed up my theory In an earlier post, the number one guy and the only guy they should be setting their sights on right now is Brady Tkachuk, do you trust Stan Bowman to make that pic if the kid falls in his lap? My second thought and I don’t know if Arizona would even be crazy enough to do this but you never know we have all these suppose it Plum’s in the great Schmaltz, and Debrincat, Who are promising but should not be rendered untouchable, Does Stan Bowman have the balls to try to talk to that kid out in Arizona to try to snag Jacob Chycrun In trade, obviously you would have to give up one or two of these kids, if Bowman was to land these two kids without giving up the farm I would kiss his ass personally on the corner of Madison and Wood and consider it a very successful summer. But on the other hand ,Bowman will probably snag a small kid from overseas, and try to sign a couple of Chicago feel good stories out of some beer league.Lastly Jeff Glass is a House league goalie! End of story.

Read what I wrote. History is history. Bowman coached great teams. Q has coached great teams. Both won lots of games coaching these great teams. Is that a surprise? The Hawks would have had success recently without Q being the Coach. He certainly wasn’t the added element that ensured success or was needed for success.

Unless you can say the only coach in the world that could have lead the Hawks to the Cup was Q then I call you on it. We both know that any number of coaches would have had equal or even better success. If you are being honest.

The Hawks have had incredible teams. It is interesting that this year’s team is not incredible. A corollary of this would be that great coaching would be needed to achieve results. Q has actually had to coach and it has been a disaster.

The Hawks actually had a horrible season another time Q actually had to coach. The Hawks needed to win their last game and couldn’t and had to rely on an upset by another team just to back into the play-offs. Based on Q’s coaching the Hawks should have missed the play-offs. However, even in the seasons where there has been success others and myself would beg for Q to stop meddling and to just let the players play.

In the play-offs Q has gotten out-coached many a time which can be seen in far too many First Round losses, not to mention other losses. For instance there is no possible way the Hawks should have lost to a less-talented Kings team in the Western Final. Q was insanely stubborn leading to the loss. The Western Final was basically for the Cup so there went Cup number 4.

Time for new blood, new ideas. Game after game we see the same tired systems that simply are not working.

- Z3Hawk

So who are these great coaches you speak of? Please throw a list of them out there so we could be privy to this vast knowledge you possess?

Is Savard one of them? How about Cooper?

No possible way they should of lost to the Kings?

Did you watch the Boston series? There is no way the Hawks should of won that series, yet they did.

All I can say is your post about coaching is comical. So when they lose its Q's fault but when they win.... (frank)ing joke!

In that series vs the Kings, most everyone patrolling the Blue line was out injured or playing w uhh injury. Their center dep th killed us. Along with ref's swallowing the whistle on all the obstruction Kings got awsy with murder........Kopitar and Carter outshines are two best centers and depth got worse in comparing the team's. They had a couple rookie forwards play well

Asking for a friend. I have heard that Sikura might not sign with the Blackhawks. True or false?
- Codes1087

I believe that he will not due to uncertainty surrounding Q. Dylan's uncle is John Sikura who happens to be good friends with Q. John runs Hill N Dale Farms and Q has been partners with him over the years on some racehorses.

Chycrun was a prize choice, a dman their GM felt was even better than some had him. Their GM even back then had a vision for a quick, skilled defense. OEL - a wiz favorite, Chycrun, Goligowski, Demers is five offensive quick dmen and Hjalmarsson is a good match with one of them

We have some old horse bettors in D Savard, Eddie O and probably others. I wish they could talk the new stud into
playing here. Have heard Dylan has a friendship with DeBrincat. Bowman really wants this kid to play here. Seems to be an opportunity in a great city on a team rebuilding.

That Panarin for Saad trade....still can't wrap my head around it. Like, the hockey minds that determined that was a good move are the people running this team? Smh....no wonder why we are where we are. The more you think about it, lots and lots and LOTS of stupid moves made by the front office. The 2 that tower above everything else that we haven't been able to and won't EVER be able to recover from are the Toews/Kane contracts while incorrectly predicting the future outlook of the salary cap, and the equally dreadful Seabrook contract.

We're STUCK with a poopty 1C and poopty 2D. (for what it's worth, we're also stuck with an equally poopty 1D....but at least he's not as woefully overpaid, and his contract at the time was and still is justified).

I feel bad for Kane.

It makes too much sense at this point from both sides for the Hawks and 88 to part ways:

The Hawks need to trade Kane because he's their most valuable asset and a complete tear down is required.

And Kane needs to move on to a team that is in WIN NOW mode and not REBUILD mode, before his prime slips away.

The only way Kane gets traded is if Dahlin or similar on an ELC is coming back the other way.

Or Kane requests a trade and Bowman doesn't get fair value in return...

Really? I certainly don't. He won 3 championships with the Hawks and has become a millionaire for playing a game.

I still don't understand why Kane needs to be traded? I'm not opposed to trading Kane if another team is willing to pay a king's ransom. If you think Kane wants out because the team hasn't won a championship in 3 years and will miss the playoffs for the first time in 10 it sounds like you don't think much of Kane's character.

You bet that will happen. Seen it before going back a ways. Team plays loose with no pressure, starts firing the puck instead of passing it up rear ends, and goes on a meaningless winning streak.
Then they give fans something else to get irritated about.

Times change, feelings change.

I feel bad for Kane now in a sense that every other member of the core has faded away and hasn't lived of to their price tag....except him. And i feel bad that they moved his line mate(which helped form THE BEST LINE IN THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE) for Toews line mate(who ended up sucking so bad that he didn't even wind up playing with Toews anyways).

Kane should see this team for the dumpster fire(your words) that they are, like ANYONE else can plainly see at this point.

And with that conclusion, how is it a knock on Kane's character whatsoever to say he probably wants to move on if possible? Its not like its some horrible breakup or anything. Times have changed, that is all. A few questionable decisions by the front office here, a regression by an overpaid player there....add it all up and its not really that outlandish to consider these things.

How many times did the Bears win a couple meaningless regular season games that killed their draft position. I hate to say it, but they need the best pick they can get.
