I'll take the 03-04 hawks over this year's team anyway. At least that team had a little heart. Our core looks like they could care less and know there not cup contenders just collecting a pay check.
Kampf hasn't looked good as of late saad and jurco look like twins just drifting around the ice. Seabrook can barely skate dahlstrom looks like ahl all star at his best. I was right about osterle he was playing way over his head and has come back down to earth.
Seriously is glass the best goalie we can find I mean come on Forsberg has struggled but will occasionally make a big save.
If your the hawks trade anyone but kane and debricant.
Bouma and wingles for spare parts have burish come out of retirement with tootoo.
toews to Winnipeg for big buff there the only team that takes him.
seabs and a prospect to edm for lucic bad contract and nurse.
Keith to tor for a skilled prospect or too how about kapanen and Rychel.
do something Stan this team needs mike Keenan whip them into shape.

Saad doing his best Casper the Ghost impression. You look at the big moves Bowman made last summer, both have been complete debacles. His body of work since 2015 should be a fireable offense.
- EnzoD

That's typical Quenneville twisting the knife......and I might add that this may be the main reason this team is a train wreck. .....Bowman vs Quenneville. ....and the team has basically quit on this BS that's been going on since the Danault/Fleish/Weiss debacle 3 years ago. ENOUGH already McD and Rocky.....clean this up over the summer or you'll be back to 8K season reservation holders quickly !!!!

Following Following @MarkLazerus
FINAL: Blackhawks hit rock bottom in 6-1 loss to the dead-last Coyotes, their sixth straight defeat.

i disagree...more free fall to come before this team finds the bottom

- bogiedoc

Can you imagine getting a top
3 pick. Dahlin I mean he's probably the Hawks best Dman day 1 of training camp next year. Tzchuck is probably the Hawks most talented center as well. 2, 7, 19, 20, and 88 lately all look like passengers.

Burish showing his friend bias not bashing the Hawks for the lack of fire and focus. They sure as (frank) look like they've given up to me.

If Q gets fired, Bowman should get fired too.

If neither of them get fired this offseason, McD should tell them both either they succeed together next year or they are both gone.

my view has been the only way one or both get shown the door is if the hawks have a complete melt down...that would mean an 80 point season...and they are seriously heading in that direction...i have my doubts this team can even go .500 the rest of the season...

this losing strk approaches double digits or something like 2-13-2...Q will be coaching in ottawa next year...

Bogie...I can smell a lottery pick. This club may not reach 70 points.

Sure hope CC returning doesn't mess that up.

yeah, we're heading that direction.
the ironic thing is that the more the team melts down, the better the draft pick and the more likely they are to shut down some of the older guys, and the better they might o next year.

not getting 70 is a complete and utter catastrophe for this team...i think they can find away to scratch out 15 -20 pts over the remaining 26...

Absolutely. ...just keep things status quo boys. No Hayden call up, no trade for a goalie, no change in PP, no change in coaching of any kind until April, keep playing guys out of position, continue to give Toews as much ice time as possible, etc.....STATUS QUO will give us the desired result......top 3 pick with total changes in coaching staff, GM, and Captain. Move Forward Please.

all this talk of lottery pick...i don't think so...8 teams below them; it would be nice to see the panthers, habs and wings get on a roll...but they got their share of problems..

The Panthers won tonight, have 3 games in hand and are just 2pts behind the Hawks. Hawks will fall to 8 th soon enough.

*silences the Crow haters once and for all.
Among the many things to be learned from this season, the importance of a healthy Corey Crawford cannot be understated.

As Oesterle, Forsberg and Glass become the center of all bad-Using NHL.com rankings- Toews is ranked #46 among centers and Keith is ranked 44th among defenders.

I’d like to see what Forsling looks like after his sojourn in Rockfish.
- StLBravesFan

Well if he thought he would send Joel and Stan a message by scoring- like he had 8 sog his first game- I deduce he was just mad about a deserved demotion. You can bet it all that he knows what he needs to become better at. I believe we all know that he just needs to play....a lot....somewhere.

It is painful to us, the fans, as sometimes the quickest way to learn and work at improving comes from NHL action when we wish he could just practice more in the AHL. A skill guy with quick reactions like Forsling, however, may best hone his game at the nhl level. It is when certain other aspects of his game are going bad, that minor league time is part of the recipe which we have fairly good vibe he will eventually be a treat to watch

All non-playoff teams have a chance in the draft lottery. I’ll be happy with a pick anywhere in the top 10.

With this team it’s easier to point out what went wrong this season than what went right.

Good - DeBrincat, Schmaltz and Crawford (pre-injury)
Neutral - Kane and Hinostroza
Negative - everything else

well, if every other NHL team was right a few years ago, the NHL favors the Blackhawks so I expect they'll get a top 3 pick.

I feel that while your thought has some credence, it is McDonough belief that Bowman has done enough good as GM to warrant staying on with the caveat that the rebuild needs to look promising. Fans need to see this angle and McDonough has to find a way to promote it. Remember one year the White Sox aired "The kids are alright."

On The other hand perhaps Q has the toughest grading system and his report card does not look well. A good coach has to get a bad team to perform better. Joel can thank Stan somewhat for a weaker roster than could have bern the case. But Q for as great a coach he has been, has also some poor coaching strategy. And as head coach he had got to tell Stan to get him players who will do as told on the PP. Or Joel has to jerk even his star players to get their attention.

When winning the PP was a team dirty secret. Now that loosing and poor play is synonymous with the power play failure, it is time for Joel to gracefully step down and to pay him the remainder of contract to scout. If I were to guess, I would say he does not have the heart performance from veterans in the room and some guys like Kempny and Hartman to some extent, have to feel like they are being treated/employed unfairly.

After tonight they're 9th lowest.
Without taking into account Florida having a better points percentage, if 3 teams above them all win the lottery, worst case, they pick at #12

great case, they move down another couple spots and only one team above them move into the top 3

Excellent case: they lose a ton and/or win the draft lottery. And/or Stan can trade up a couple spots
