I can pretty much guarantee that aint happening.
Who knows about the playoffs. Its such a bad division, but I highly doubt there will be any buying going on. - mdw7413

Calgary is a pretty decent team and Chicago has had to deal with Crawford being injured
This chart confirms the eye test that the Rangers are a bad team or at least badly coached - KreiderBomb
All I hear is excuses for Calgary and Chicago but the Rangers can’t use those excuses with injuries right |

The Rangers are selling, no doubt in my mind.
And then you play the rest of the games on your schedule and see what happens.

You really think after the letter, and asking Nash for teams and telling him he is pretty much gone, they are going to take all that back? |

How long we been doin this? How long are we gonna go round and round When we were healthy we were giving up 35 a night, they can't suppress shots, they don't possess the puck, I believe it has a lot to do with the philosophy from AV but it was a still a major problem, this isn't something that popped up in the last few weeks
Chicago should be a team on the way down with those big contracts but they are coached well enough to be hanging on, Calgary has been on the rebuild but have many pieces like Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Monahan, Brodie and Hamilton as part of the young core |

The Rangers have given up 15 more goals that the Flames and 17 more than the Blackhawks. That's with Henrik Lundqvist having a .920 save percentage.
Let's use a barometer. The Rangers currently sit 7th in goals allowed. Edmonton and Montreal are the teams in front and behind them, respectfully.
Cam Talbot has a .902 save percentage
Carey Price has a .907 save percentage
So yeah, look no futher than the goalie. Because without the best goalie in the world this team....Never mind.

Sucks that we are 2 weeks away from the deadline, while many see an opportunity to make a hopeless playoffs I see an opportunity to get a better draft spot |

When did they say they were going to fire AV? I know thats what we all want, but I don't remember management saying anything other than they will evaluate that after the season. |

7 games until the 26th and 5 of them are very winnable games, this couldn't possibly go wrong, FML if this isn't bound to happen |

Well if you want them to replace the coach that could have even more positive results you don't want. Shouldn't they just let it go till the end of the season at this point? |

Somebody is gonig to give up a 1st round pick for Mike Green. He's right handed, the Wings can eat some of the cap hit and he's still putting up points at decent rate. |

Nope, because they can play hard and lose. Personally I can't root for a loss. It has nothing to do with playoffs. I won't root against a team I'm a fan of. Just the way I am |

Well in this situation I can because if it means it can possibly lead to finally getting it done in the future then I can live with it today, I think most of us realize this team isn't a legit contender, their time is over |

Pretty much, really just comes down to each person and how they deal with it. I will root for them to win, but won't be upset if they lose most of their games as long as they compete and the younger guys brought up compete. |

Good day...
-Rangers get 2 pts
-Isles and devils both blow winnable games
-Marchand gets absolutely tattooed at the buzzer
I’ll say this, say what you want about tanking and all that and I see the idea of it. But just for second take into account the thought or idea of after all the moves become reality, I firmly believe they will and need to happen, that a group of kids from Hartford along with the rest of the players that stay can make a serious run at the playoffs. The aforementioned kids (Chytil, Andersson, Poink, Gilmour, additional prospects they pick up etc) get a wealth of experience and LEARN what it is to play playoff hockey when it was never expected will be invaluable. Much more important that some million and one shot at the extra lotto balls that’s gets them Dahlin. It’s a new core coming in here and it would be oragasmic lol if it began with a playoff berth!!! At least it’s something to be excited about don’t you think? |

If the Rangers win on Tuesday and other teams falter a bit early in the week it sets up and interesting game for this fan base on Thursday, given the divisions in philosophy on this board. |

The problom is they’re not bad enough to do the tank. If they played all year like they did in October, then by all means tank. It’s to late to tank. May as well make the playoffs and start biting your toe nails and all that lol |
