Fooled??? WTF are you talikng about? Even though my team isn't going to win the cup, I have no problem rooting for them as long as they are working their asses off and playing some good hockey.

The trades, FA;s singings, and youngins coming will make this team better next year and beyond.

You are the only fool, b/c NYR is NOT getting a top 5 pick, unless they trade up for it. They will need to lose like 75% of the remaining games to even have a chance of a lottery pick, and with Hank and the rest of the team....they simply aren't bad enough, god forbid.

Just b/c NYR wins a game or two doesn't make me or the majority of the people on this site think that the team is going to make a playoff push/run, its just allows us to enjoy watching our team compete and be relevent.

Chill out Mr. Lamirello

After 1 Cup in 34 years of watching this organization I'm done with that concept, every year they're supposed to be better, today you need top end talent so forgoing a top 10 or top 5 pick for a 1st round beating is a (frank)ing dumb, foolish, naive and senseless, they are no longer relevant, the rest of the league outside of a maybe 4 or 5 teams have caught up or passed us, yes I want them to lose because maybe just maybe a different blue print other than high priced losers will win the Cup one day

See this ^ This is proof they are bad enough for a top 5 pick, it's only Hank that allows AV to keep his job, but I know I'm wrong about AV too right, probably Sather while we're at it

Your telling me something I don't know? Hate to tell ya, but just b/c NYR "should" be the worst team in the league doesn't make it so, b/c of Hank, and other factors that can't always be quantified by player/team analytics. ssoooooo...my point is that they won't get first pick, or fifth pick b/c their actual record dictates that... and .not that you are frustrated or hopeful that something to the contrary might actually happen

I totally get your point about wanting to see blue chip, no miss pick. NYR hasn't been "bad" to get one of those, but yet again, they ain't bad enough again..lol...

I just can't root for loses....If i could do that i would start watching the Knicks or any 25 other NBA teams that don't have a shot to win! That is why that league suck big hairy balls

This whole thing is weird . Every time the rangers play a game I'm cheering for them to win . After they win I'm WTF, missing the playoffs helps this'll club more than a five maybe six game loss in the first round . I'm all for better position in the draft than winning but want them to win . Oh well another 40 creek and I'm good

It’s funny how the AV haters haven’t mentioned one time the last two games how much ice time skjei is getting.

Lol that chart is the most useless thing ever. Ask Chicago and Calgary, both up there yet not in the playoffs

No McD, no Staal, no Shattenkirk = major minutes for Skjei.

No....not useless, but not the end all be all either.

NYR has a lot of worts, but I just want to see the team play w/ heart the remainder of season, no matter what happens. Makes it easier to judge who is worth keeping or not.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I can’t watch a game and root for them to lose, knowing full well that they have to look to the future. Once the Rangers make these UFA trades, think this will all sort itself out. They wont finish on Top 5 but I think somewhere between 7-10 is the likely landing spot.

Calgary is a pretty decent team and Chicago has had to deal with Crawford being injured

This chart confirms the eye test that the Rangers are a bad team or at least badly coached

We can play with heart next season, it took them until after their 54th game to finally show it this season, I'm not buying it anyway, everyone needs to bite the bullet for 3 or 4 months to give us a better chance at enjoying the next generation of Rangers, this era is over, done, fine, kaput, it happens to every team

Nah, they give up, then get rid of every single player. Because the ones you keep will see how gutless that is.

The players are gonna go out and play, I'm not telling to tank I'm just saying it's far better we lose, I can see it now though, go on a streak here, change their minds, buy some piece of garbage, make a wildcard spot and get blasted in the ass by Tampa.....it bleeds Rangers and then we'll be like maybe they should have sold.....then do it all again next year

I'll tell you this and I will hold true to my word, that will be it for me, I will absolutely be done with the Rangers, I can trust myself to know that will be the breaking point

I can pretty much guarantee that aint happening.

Who knows about the playoffs. Its such a bad division, but I highly doubt there will be any buying going on.
