Sucks about Jack he was well on his way to hitting 90 points

Just recover have a good summer and be ready next year with Casey

But good thing it wasn’t Kane

- GERBE!!!75PTS

Eichel is under a ppg, but somehow was on pace for 90 points?

slow start really hampered him. He had 34 points in his last 28 games once he got going. He had 14 in his first 24 and ended with 53 in 55 yet the 55th game he played 5 minutes of.

Yes, and a better precursor to how he was going to finish for the season would be including all seasonal stats.

He was starting to go through another slump since the all star break.

I mentioned the 25+ goals in 82games strictly bc u said 20-25goals when healthy

U understate him all the time
That’s proof

I call it hate bc u literally say stuff like that every single week about Kane

Is he worth a big contract?
You’re probably right
BUT
This is Buffalo dude
We aren’t getting good players unless we “overpay” them

So either guys like ROR, Okposo, Kane...
hell, even Jack will be overpaid at 10mil pe
r

Over pay a bit...
or have no good players...

I hear what you’re saying
But those are our choices

- jdfitz77

It’s one thing to have 1 of those guys (Not including Eichel)

It’s another to invest over 20 mil in cap space on an entire 2nd line.

It just boils down to expectations for me.

We invested in O’Reilly to be an annual Selke candidate caliber player. Not a slightly above average 2nd line center.

We invested in Kane to score 30+ goals per year. Not 20, then three great months last year, and two great months this year.

We didn’t draft Sam Reinhart second overall to be struggling in his 3rd full season as a pro.

We didn’t sign Okposo to basically be a reclamation project his second year with us.

We have just had poop luck with this rebuilding phase. I’m hoping it changes and maybe we win a lottery, or Middlestadt is an absolute home run.

Or you could not be a douche bag and make what's ordered. People like what they like. Provided none of the other rules have been broken, of course.

If someone whistled at me I'd throw them out. Let's face it, if someone's whistling at you you're probably not going to get much of a tip, people who are that self absorbed rarely tip at all, let alone well, so you're just saving yourself some grief by tossing them.

Depends on the bar

If ppl are coming in ordering Long Islands,
the “douchebag” ain’t the bartender who doesn’t make it for them
It’s the assclown who tries to order a drink with 4 shots of alcohol in it
Which by the way,
is technically “over serving” and illegal

So maybe know you’re sh!t before coming at me for doing my job correctly

Also...
i give OUTSTANDING service

Come in some time & you’ll see

1) u underestimate these guys

2) if O’Reilly is the guy u can get, then that’s who u get
Of course Bergeron is better, but he’d NEVER be available

So u can have your expectations & day our guys aren’t as good as those u compare them to...
but our options instead are what?
Grigorenko, Armia, etc

No thanks

Dude...
i do hear ya

But the “superstars” aren’t available & certainly not coming to buffalo

And even if they would,
We’d have to “OVERPAY” them too

You’re right, you have to draft them. Those are the guys you pay big $$ to. Not O’Reilly, Kane, and Okposo.

I’m just hoping we can salvage a pretty good D prospect out of the Kane deal and get this thing back on track.

I’m with ya
But i don’t see anything wrong with paying O’Reilly 7.5m instead of 6.5
Or Okposo 6.0 instead of 5.5

We have the Cap room

Now if it prevented us from going after Tavares, Carlson, JvR, etc...
then I’d be upset like u seem to be

But even those guys above...
we’d have to overpay them too if we wanna get them
