You do realize that moving a player from spot to spot could ruin a player's comfort in one position, right? Schenn isn't currently being moved all over the place and it's worked out.

A lot of circumstances had to come into play to get to where we are now. We traded for Filppula, which I never would've have done in a million years. Filppula was on the road to nowhere the moment he got here. Than we won the draft lottery to draft Patrick. Nobody expected this. Scott Laughton finally has become an nhl regular. Sean Couturier started scoring by Hakstol taking a risk and making him our number one center.

Even with these four ways of getting lucky, you could still easily fit Schenn in the line up because our fourth line isn't great. In my opinion, it isn't Coots' production that replaced Schenn because Schenn was producing on the second or third line. Its Filppula who replaced Schenn by being here as a player we never needed.

Filppula and Schenn have no correlation imo; Getting Patrick determined Schenn’s fate, as well as getting an offer we couldn’t turn down. Schenn was NEVER 3rd line; maybe if he pissed Haks off. He had majority of time 1st line and 2nd line with 1st PP unit time. Schenn disappeared for long stretches while getting the ice time to snap out of it. I liked Schenn but he wasn’t a fit. I’ll gladly take Frost as well with the season he is having.

Nobody knew Scott Laughton was finally going to put it together the way that he has. Nobody expected Couturier to take over the number one center role. The expandable Brayden Schenn is better than 80% of the forwards on this team. Giroux, Voracek and Simmonds are on borrowed time as they enter their 30's.

Looks like hak stapled Gudas to the bench good for him
