Saad on the move again?? Big.

This just in:

Habs interested in any third-liner on any PO team.

Discuss.

Your blasting EK about how stupid it is to think montreal would trade for a left winger as everyone knows they need a 1st line centre and a left Dman. Well I would say sir that everyone knew they needed these pieces before the season started. Yet they went out and traded for a right winger in the off season. And your not going to believe this but they traded a left dman to get him! Isn't that wild that they traded away one of the positions they obviously needed!

Well lets see you say they obviously dont want to trade for a left winger? You will certainly need someone to try and replace patches on the lw if your going to trade him. Won't you? In all honestly besides starting goalie which has been somewhat questionable as well this year the team can certainly use upgrades in every position.

And a little news flash if your hoping they trade for a number one centre of top pairing dman you better prepare to be losing your top draft pick over the next couple years and a couple of the prospects they have. And we all know how slim the pickings are in prospect land currently in the organization. Teams dont generally trade those players but if your lucky enough to find one your usually giving up a big haul, montreal cant do that currently.

On the other end saad would be a perfect deadline trade to cap of a sad season...it might be destiny.

The Gist is...Ek sucks, he countered saying Habs make Ek rumors seem pretty accurate (and made a valid point).

The Kings don't need to do any more rentals. They aren't a Stanley Cup team. They may not even make the playoffs. I really don't want to see Blake do what Lombardi giving up #1 picks and a great young goalie for Sekera and Lucic especially for Maroon. The Kings should try and sell off Brown, Gaborik and maybe even Quick (I know he is a great goalie but with his contract and his style of play and injury history now for the future of the team this might be best). And then trade Doughty next year as he will leave anyways when he becomes UFA.

Gaborik could be shipped off along with other pieces in a trade for a player like Phanuef. Doughty isnt going anywhere.

I’m spitballing on the Gaborik thing but I highly doubt Doughty goes anywhere. Toronto fans can keep dreaming.
