Those players are in their mid 30s......Chara is 40....and yes Mcquaid is a 3rd pairing d..barely.
Chicago has almost 10 players from their cup winning days. Does this make them good? Nope.
What about Detroit with Zetterberg, Kronwall, Adblekader, Ericson, Helm?? Once again. You are spewing useless poop from 7 years ago.
And stop with the Bruins play good playoff hockey. They have 2 playoff wins in the last 3 years. Seriously man. What the (frank) are you even saying. You are making 0 sense. - Santo_44

Bruins are the better team right now forsure, anything can happen in 7 games but Leafs have to push the pace more against Bruins if they want a good shot at beating them. |

Trade JVR, Bozak, Komarov, Moore and Polak. Replace them with Johnsson, Kapanen, Gauthier, Leivo and Dermott.
If you can find teams that want JVR and Bozak so they can resign them, maybe you can get more than picks for them. I suggested weeks ago they could try to trade JVR, Bozak and Polak to Calgary for Backlund, Bennett and Stone.
But even if you just get draft picks back and promote Marlies, that's good enough. The Leafs aren't losing their playoff spot, the young guys get a chance at the NHL and some playoff experience and you bring back a bunch of picks you can use to refill the Marlies. These guys are going to get called up anyway next year when all the UFAs walk anyway, might as well get a head start on the process and bring back assets instead of losing them for nothing hoping for a miracle. - Unholy_Goalie
Great message to send the team.
Thanks for working so hard guys, we’re assuming you’re not going to do anything and are getting rid of all our UFAs, and not bringing in any outside help. Maybe we can still get Dahlin! |

I know a guy who knows a guy who is a nephew of the guy that 'decorated' Versteeg's car... so Hedman threat can be arranged.
Chara however... |

Boston is playing great right now.
BUT THE PLAYOFFS ARE A WAYS OF STILL
There play will level out soon. You want to peak when the playoffs start, not in January. Everyone needs to relax about Boston. They are playing out of their minds right now, but are not that good. The game on Saturday we didn't show up at all. I think we can take them in a playoff. Have you seen Chara's foot speed lately? Willie would blow by him every game and while he was doing so he would turn around and blow kisses at him, all while scoring 3 goals on 1 shot... |

Mcbackup stole the game prior to Saturday against Boston for the Leafs too. Boston is on a serious roll obviously but they’re a good team. One of the best In the East Forsure. Leafs haven’t proven to be as good as them this year yet, imo. Still lots of season to play really good hockey. It would be a good series and go either way but right now Leafs would be the underdog |

If Boston is our first round opponent, I am happy. We can take them. When we are firing on all cylinders (like Boston is right now) we will dominate them. Chara's ogre sized jockstrap will be dangling from the arena rafters every time he goes near Matthews, Nylander, or Marner... |

Didn’t clb win like 17 or 19 in row last year? They peaked early too. Lost in the 1st round I believe.
During that streak I’m sure everyone thought they would be hard to beat and probably favourites at the time.

Everybody knows the Leafs were overachieving early in the season. Babcock said it himself. The Leafs played an unsustainable style of hockey and it caught up to them and brought them back down to Earth.
The experience factor and the new coach getting his system to finally start working. Coaches take time to get their team to adapt to the new system. Babcock has been here years and the young Leafs still have trouble with it and are pretty inconsistent at staying on task.
Whatever the reason is though, the fact remains that the way the Bruins win games during the regular season is done using a style that is repeatable during the playoffs. The same can't be said about the Leafs. The way the Leafs win games sometimes is the polar opposite to how games are played and won during the playoffs. Babcock knows this too and it's why he's been trying to get this team to play a certain way but they're still struggling with it, especially against teams that have already mastered it like the Bruins. - Unholy_Goalie
Do you even listen to yourself? Every stat that people use agaisnt you you come up with some bs excuse of why it dosnt matter. Are you 5 years old? |
