team is very much in transition, going to have nights like tonight. They have been good and been bad.

How come nobody is talking about our award winning goaltender?

The Jets has good young players for 3-4 years before this break out season. They were patient but the depth is real. Not like the Oilers, who regressed so much. Compare those rosters. The depth difference is insane.

Canucks should look how the Jets did it. We need like 3-4 more years of good drafts. As Bo/Brock are mid-late 20's we go for a cup. Demko will be 27 or so....

Burrows what a POS he is!

The more I watch it the more I think they need to give him a massive suspension for that crap

Meh.... not that bad.

We whine about not having any fight back when our own players get run but pile on when a player fights his own battles.

not a fan of the action but I did notice that burrows vision looked impeded by the ref so I wonder... did he even know it was his head he was kneeing?

Burrows has been in the league long enough to know that's not tolerated

Tonight’s game was stereotypical Canucks hockey, tonight’s best dman was Stecher followed by Del Zotto. Tanev and Edler were terrible in their own end. Not one forward stood out in the game, not one.

Green is not motivating the team at all, after the first period he should read the riot act and thrown multiple sticks around the dressing room.

Love the formation of being just far enough apart to allow the opposition to skate through everyone and the Canucks just enough space to wave their sticks while standing still.

Bloody pathetic effort.

On a positive note, Ottawa moved within 3points of Canucks with a game in hand.
Bottom 3 not far away.

You haven't seen anything yet, wait until the TDL when management's actions will make the players look good.

We're good after deadline day. Load up with Nash for Sven and a 1st as well as solidify the back end, Luongo for Demko and Nilsson. On defence we just need to see if we can pry chara out of Boston in exchange for Olli and a 2nd.

Dank hank Nash
Eriksson Bo Brock
Guance Sutter granlund
Jv. Dowd Chaput
4rth line doesn't matter, neither do prospects.

Edler Chara
MDZ Tanev
Pullout Gudbranson

Luongo

Damn.... you're right, we might even be able to grab Phaneuf as well if we package Lind, Hutton and a 2019 1st up.

Why not trade Brock in this scenario, he could surely land us Vrbata.

I think people just look at the Q and think if you don't score you aren't any good. Veleno has a defensive game. He's strong on the puck. I have him at 10 right now. If he drops, I think he becomes a real steal. He was captain of the u18s last season.
- manvanfan

Why i dropped him cuz he will prolly end up as being a steal next draft. Happens to some players every draft eg Vilardi maybe

A C who ends up an NHL winger maybe is why i drop some prospects in the rankings. Just like Vilardi i see Veleno a Winger.

just got in from Hockey but from what I can tell from the hilites we literally need a full rebuild on the D. Goaltending is coming with Demko so if Stecher and MDZ are our best D we are in massive trouble for awhile. Pouliot started well but now he is in the Pizza Hutton zone...Edler eats minutes and that's it. Tanev is good defensively but can't carry the whole club. Guddy needs to get traded for assets. It's a literal dumpster fire back there and with Markstrom in goal at 3-4 GPG we are right back in Ryan Miller territory. Gonna be interesting to see where Guddy and Vanek are in 4 weeks.

yes we do.
which is why I hope we keep Tanev. Everyone here seems to hate our #1 Edler and the #2 they want traded. That leaves us with nothing if he's traded. Not a good idea.
The only way I say ok do it is if it's for 2018 1OA to target dahlin.

Trade anyone else on D for all I care but not your only good D.

True, I was adhering to the Edmonton model, keep two young stars and sell the rest for scraps.

I must agree other than getting a kings ransom life without Tanev would be bleak as a black hole on the back end.

Trade EG at the TDL & dream on about Carlson would be a perfect offseason.

Vanek assumed is gone as well.

that offer would have to be damn good.

We need some serious FA signings this summer on D and our 1st draft pick better be D as well. Hopefully its true that JB has 3 D on the radar from university.

Vanek actually seems to fit in here. Doubt theres tremendous interest in him anyways.
