Filipino Zadina with 4 goals today. Joe Veleno with 3 goals today.
Veleno since being traded 28 points in 16 games.

- manvanfan

Any draft pick is a good draft pick at this point. Any round pick for any of our non-core players are good draft picks. This team is embarrassing

Until we’ve any threat on D nothing changes. Only Gaudette for a cup of coffee is ahead other than the TDL.

team is very much in transition, going to have nights like tonight. They have been good and been bad.

And Travis green is a chump. Gaunce shows more hustle than 95% of the roster and averaged 2 minutes a period. I get that you dont play gaunce to save a lead or get goals, but play guys who deserve it. Virtanen looked less interested than Vanek (an extremely tough task to accomplish).

Thanks Carol.

To wrap up today, a shoutout to Dan Hamhuis, who played his 1,00th-career NHL game on Monday night. Hammer still has love for the Canucks as he recalls the top moments of his career.

Thought it was 1000th game...... but anyways,
travelling today for a checkup, no more ordered pelvic rest life is good.

Ive said it before. I get the growing pains of a rebuild, and i dont support an active tank, but i want to see effort, competitiveness, compete. I can take a loss when they try, but tonights effort was awful. Florida forwards danced our D all game.

Edler and Tanev are our only capable D men. The rest belong in the A, or Europe

I dont mind MDZ. Noticed him saving a goal around the net on several occasions this season. He also has PO experience which is valuable....if we ever get there

I think people just look at the Q and think if you don't score you aren't any good. Veleno has a defensive game. He's strong on the puck. I have him at 10 right now. If he drops, I think he becomes a real steal. He was captain of the u18s last season.

It's funny teams just keep building and being patient, and then suddenly it clicks. Winnipeg is like this right now. I had no clue they'd be this good this year. Goaltending really improved and Wheeler is having another great season. Good depth.

n it comes to his game. Listed at 6-foot-2, 194 pounds, he already has the physical frame of an NHL player and if you add that to his impressive skill set, he has a real shot at making the immediate jump to the big league.

Veleno is the type of highly-skilled playmaker that would boost any team’s lineup. He’s a powerful and quick skater who creates quality scoring chances while simultaneously wreaking havoc in the offensive zone. He is not afraid to battle in the dirty areas and pitch in with an aggressive forecheck. Veleno is a responsible two-way center who does all the little things well, a quality that will certainly endear him to his future NHL coach

Says powerful and quick skater. Quick acceleration in all of them.

According to my notes, you didnt like him when it was suggested at begining of season that he was a top 10 pick.

I watched him once, he's not a poor skater but he's not a good one either. Still a good young player though, obviously.

I dont mind him when you look at our D core. He certainly wouldnt be my pick of D men around the nhl thats for sure. I wasnt a fan of JB signing him, but he's better than some of the others on the roster for sure. Wouldnt pick him if it was my team.

In our 8 D he makes the top 3-4, which is saying a lot about our D. The very reason I dont want to trade away a top 1-2 D from the team
